Excellent food - 3 course meals and buffet breakfast and lovey service. Accomodation beautiful - right on the beach. Reef just out the front of our bungalow. Diving and snorkelling the best i have done. Very experienced instructors. Organised and efficient service. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Paradise on Siladen.When I arrived at Onong Resort, I had already been traveling around Indonesia for over a month (including Raja Ampat)I received a very warm welcome and was given an introduction/information about the resort. A careful check was also carried out regarding my health and insurance, as I wanted to dive. Super professional!The next surprise came directly at check-in. Since the resort wasn't at full capacity, I was given a free upgrade to an ocean view suite.Here the view and atmosphere was incredible.The facility is super clean & the room is also maintained to very high standards for Indonesia.The food was also excellent and always freshly prepared.The highlight is the BBQ, which takes place every Saturday and is accompanied by the local choir.The diving center is right near the resort and you will be asked at dinner by the diving management whether and how you would like to dive the next day.This is how everything is planned and prepared.The equipment is well maintained and the crew also does a great job on board.The dive guides make you feel safe & the groups were very pleasant.Clear recommendation for anyone who is planning a nice (diving) vacation in North Sulawesi

Little gem with a family atmosphereWe have been here for the 3rd time and my husband for the 4th time. It's always nice to arrive here, to be greeted so warmly and to just enjoy the rest of your time. Everyone is very friendly and is very happy if you speak a few words of Bahasa with them. The rooms are basic but clean. It is cleaned several times a day.If you have a 'problem', it will be resolved immediately.The food is super delicious. For lunch and dinner there is a menu with a choice between 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts. Everything is very nicely prepared and also very fresh.On Saturday evenings there is always a beach barbecue with a buffet and freshly grilled fish/meat. Many residents of the village then come and provide the musical accompaniment.The dive center is shared between Onong Resort and the neighboring Kuda Laut resort. Diving also comes with all-round support. The equipment is brought onto the boat, assembled... you just have to put on the suit and jump into the water. There is water and hot drinks as well as fruit on the boat. After diving, the crew brings the equipment ashore, rinses it with desalinated water and cleans it up. The dive guides are very good and reliably show you the most beautiful things while diving. You also know the English names for many underwater creatures. It usually takes 15-20 minutes to get to the dive sites by boat. Diving is usually done with the current. The guide has a buoy with him and the boat picks you up wherever you surface.The house reef is also very beautiful.The island of Siladen is right next to Bunaken and is very idyllic. It's nice and quiet here. There is another resort and in between is the village where some of the employees also live.Not to forget the fantastic massages you can get here. The masseuses know their craft and adapt very well to your wishes. Afterwards you feel wonderfully relaxed.

It was a relief on our trip to come to Onong Resort and find everything so perfect and clean. The food was excellent and it was just great to be treated and looked after so well. Very nice staff and everything was totally relaxed. A place to stay longer and enjoy. It's also worth visiting the village behind it, where you'll meet lovely children and lots of dogs. The simple way the people live there fascinated me. The five stars are probably a bit exaggerated but this resort deserves it. The fact that the polluted sea there should be a national park, however, was strange to me. Sooooo much rubbish and plastic everywhere... and we wanted to watch dolphins there. I hope they're not there anymore. However, it was still beautiful for snorkeling.

Bungalows on the beach are broad and pleasant... and cleaned twice a day.||Staff of the hotel are helpful and very very kind.|Food was also excellent from breakfast to dinner.||Special BBQ one night for all the guests on the beach. Great!
