Bangka was our first stay for 6 nights before doing part of the passport to paradise and heading to Lembeh. I recommend it! Our dive guide was excellent, all crew are friendly, helpful and professional, there’s some beautiful dive spots with both good muck diving and coral dives, and dive scheduling was on point. The resort stay is also very nice with great views, peaceful vibes, friendly and helpful staff and some yum Indonesian style food (and plenty on non-Indonesian yum options as well). We had a great time, were well looked after, and can see ourselves heading back for another Bangka/Lembeh combo.

I had an unforgettable stay at Murex Resorts Bangka Island, recommended by my partner while searching for dive sites in the region. This fully serviced dive resort offers spectacular service and access to pristine waters and reefs. Celebrating our third anniversary, the staff made the occasion extra special. The morning snorkeling dive was a highlight; the diving instructors were knowledgeable and passionate about their work. The clean, well-serviced boats and the convenient hop-on, hop-off experience made diving effortless. Rooms were clean, though tap water isn't for drinking, which takes getting used to for brushing teeth. The on-site camera room for drying housing and charging cameras is a fantastic amenity for underwater photographers. The full board stay includes delicious buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The house reefs are stunning beyond words. While the spa had only one therapist, her expertise was evident. I eagerly await my next visit, especially once I obtain my advanced open water scuba diving certificate to fully enjoy the diving amenities. Overall, a gorgeous and lovely stay, perfect for future dive trips!

Lovely setting with great staff both on land and for diving. Rooms are well appointed with mosquito repellents and water dispensers. Food is OK and plentiful. The Spa offers wonderful massages at a very fair price. |The diving was nice but jot spectacular. Visibility was very poor, unfortunately, but they can't help that!

Stayed in Bangka from 4/4 - 4/10/2024. Beautiful facilities and wonderful diving. The staff was great, seeing to our every need and requests. The dive staff made sure we never had to touch our gear until it was time to pack. Diving was impressive and I still don't know how the dive masters found all of those tiny critters? We specifically appreciated the knowledge and expertise of our dive master, Rien. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We were fortunate to get to stay in 2 of the Murex dive resorts on our trip to North Sulawesi - Bangka & Manado.10/10 would recommend! The staff were fantastic, the rooms super comfortable and food was great. I was travelling with my family who don't dive so we stuck to snorkeling and wow! We really had a great time. The home reef at Bangka was fantastic, in great condition and with so much diverse life so close to the beach. We saw octopus, eels, a turtle, stingrays huge shoals of different fish etc.The staff were great, really safety conscious and service minded they really made our trip special and memorable - a couple of highlights were 2 of the team taking me and our family out for a night snorkel on the home reef and another was them organizing a great babysitter so my wife and I could take a half day out on a boat together without the kids.They were all super knowledgeable and gave us loads of ideas and information. Really the perfect place to go for diving, snorkeling and relaxing. Rooms were reasonably priced and the food was better than anything else we had in Manado by a country mile. Their focus on the environment and protecting the reefs is really commendable too.

We stayed on Banka Island for 4 nights in an ocean front cottage. Beautiful spacious wooden bungalow in the first row of the beach. Great resort with the feeling of a barefoot island. The best food was offered here as a buffet. Just like in Murex Manado, the staff was super friendly, attentive and helpful.Diving on Banka is straightforward, the equipment is brought onto the boat and prepared for diving and after diving the equipment is brought back to shore, washed out and hung out to dry. The diving guides and the boat crew are all super friendly and helpful and always try to make sure you have great dives.

Just had my second visit to Murex Manado and Bangka, and it was wonderful experience, as with the first. I definitely plan to return for a third time in the near future!What made the experiences so wonderful?Diving:• Excellent diversity of dive sites and marine life• Great water clarity. Fantastic, knowledgeable dive guidesStaff:• Superb! Everyone clearly cares about guest experience, and they do everything in their power to tailor it to guest preferences and ensure the best possible experience. They even protected me from eating food with peanuts, because they all know that I’m allergic.• I was so pleased at how everyone knows the guests’ names! We are all greeted by name and in a very warm way every day.• Everyone was amazing! Special thanks to Evelyn, Aldei, Seraa, Irrena, Ping, Zilly, Andreas, Chris, Ross, Feibe, Reynal, Marcel, and Tommy. And the great chefs in the kitchen! And everyone else (sincerely). :-)Operational Excellence:• This place is very well run: dive, transport, lodging, logistics all run well.• The owners (a married couple) are very hands on and treat and train staff very well.• Staff are very well-informed about guest preferences and check-ins/outs.
