Well located, the hosts are very kind and welcoming. The room is spacious and pleasant. Little extra for the mosquito net! Free welcome drink and very good breakfast! Thanks for everything!

Simple accommodation on gili air. You have air conditioning, but it leaks and you have to put a towel underneath it. Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs with toast or with jam. Or banana pancake with chocolate. Location super easy to reach on foot. You don't need to get a carriage. You can reach a lot on foot. Room was quite ok. Doors were a bit dilapidated.

Aladdin homestay is run by a very friendly family and has a great location near the harbour and main street. Breakfast was also good.The room however was very substandard for the price and is in real need of some repairs and updates. Maybe there are different rooms at this homestay that are better and appropriate for the high rating and price, but our room (number 3) was not. Very old furniture, sink that sprays water everywhere, medium shower, very old and dirty bathroomrug. Clearly not worth the high season 30$ we paid for it.The high ratings are likely because the family is very sweet but hopefully they can put some work into updating the rooms for the future.

We stayed one night at the Homestay.The family is really kind and friendly.Whenever you want coffee, you get a free one. Also they have free water refill and you get a welcome drink when arriving.The room was clean.Still, for us the price for the accommodation was too high (I know it’s high season), we’ve payed around 30$ for the night. Before we stayed there, we stayed in another hotel for almost the same price but it was waaaaay more beautiful. With pool, prettier bathroom, …. Yes I know that not everything can always be new but a bit of maintenance is possible with a room rate of 30$. For example fixing the sink, that the water is coming out properly, getting a bit of decoration, paint the room, get a bit lighter furniture that it’s not looking super dark in the room…The breakfast was fine, nothing special but totally ok. Eggs or pancake ;) But during our stay in the restaurant of the hotel it was really noisy because of the kids. Not the kids itself but the sound of the phones, games,…If you are on a vacation on an island that’s not what you want to hear when you just woke up. I think that would be easy to change: buy your kids headphones or just decrease the volume (it was really loud).These are just some points I think are not perfect….But again, the family is lovely and you are not doing anything wrong with booking this accommodation.

Nice breakfast including coffe and juice. Free refill of water (to save plastic waste). Dars the owner is the master of kitemaking from bamboo and silkpaper. He even let me make my own, and He loves to tell about kitefighting tekniques. He sells his kites to the lokal kids. The cosyest place to hang out.

The nicest family run place we stayed out during our time in the Gilis.The room had everything you would need with private bathroom and AC. It was very affordable compared with other places on Gili Air too. A nice bonus was breakfast being included as well as free tea/coffee whenever you wanted.Das, Nobby and the rest of the family running the homestay were the warmest and friendliest people you can meet. They were always helpful and available.Easily the most welcomed I’ve felt during a stay in all my years traveling.
