I do not recommend anything, it is the worst place to stay on the entire island that we have seen. I ended up covered in bedbug bites…

Stayed here in September 24. Our accommodation was not clean, and the whole place felt pretty run down. Our bathroom was pretty dirty, to the point that I went out and bought some cleaning stuff just to get it hygienic. The bathroommat was sooo dirty when we arrived I asked for another one but was told they didn't have another 🤷🏼♂️The bedroom was big and the AC worked but again it was pretty dirty and needed a deep clean and some maintenance. The team were friendly and the location was good, near good snorkeling for turtles and the breakfast was decent.Definitely not expecting 4 or 5 star accomodation but compared to the other places I've stayed on gilli air, gilli meno, Bali and Lombok this was disappointing.

The bungalows were great. They are simply furnished. The air conditioning works well. The pool is not extremely inviting but the sea is right next to the bungalow anyway. The staff is always approachable and helpful. The breakfast was great. Great value for money.

Loved our time at the star bar bungalows, got welcomed by some very friendly faces, sat us down and gave us some delicious orange juice slushies to cool us down before taking us to our room. The bungalows were very cute, nice and spacious, clean, well presented, semi outdoor shower which I was a fan of and a nice big comfy double bed with air-con and Mosquito net. Breakfast was nice, I had omelet or pancakes with a Lombok coffee (black). The guys there always made us feel welcome, chatted with us a lot and made us feel like nothing was too much to ask. Being right on the beach was definitely a perk, we preferred that side of the island as there was enough food and drinks right next to you.Overall really good stay, bolstered by friendly staff.Would 100% recommend.

A good place to have a drink and chillssLocated at the east of gili airAlthough a little bit far from the harbour but totally worth itIn the morning brace yourself for a very nice sunrise moment just in front of youIn the night have a good drink at the bar👍The staff is friendly and now hospitalityKeep up the good work and keep improving to become the best bar in gili air 😊

I had a good stay at Star Bar. I would like to note the negative reviews.Yes, the hygiene of the rooms is not perfect. Wall a little dirty, and the bottom of the toilet is not descaled. The wait for a meal even if there is no one there can reach 20 minutes.And the WiFi in the room is very very average. But almost everywhere on the island.But we have to qualify all that. The fact is that the hotel is far from being the most expensive!The place is very well placed. Right next to the beaches. 30 meters is hop in the water. And what's more, there is a small private beach.The guys who run the location are very nice and helpful. The cocktails are good. The prices are also more than fair. I ate 10ths of my plate plus a Sprite and a Cocktail (:There is a swimming pool opposite the Bar. But I wouldn't say anything because I much prefer the sea.😁Tortures are very easily accessible with Corals. It's a treat 🤗Very happy with my stay. I recommend for average budgets.

The bungalows, restaurant, swimming pool, beachfront area and access to the sea were absolutely Amazing!We stayed here for 2 nights and the bungalow was so clean and fresh upon arrival. Lots of space in the room and also in the partially outside bathroom. The bed is ridiculously comfy and the bath towel was large and clean.The free breakfast options were simple and I had banana pancakes and fresh fruit each day because they were so tasty! It’s such a great feeling to watch the sunrise here while eating breakfast.It’s calm and quiet hotel with the best spot to snorkel and swim with turtles. Pool towels also available.The staff are legendary and have made our stay memorable. Always greeting us with smiles and our names, and doing everything they can to be kind and make us happy during our stay.I have been backpacking asia for over 5 months in hotels (as a couple) so recommending a few things to improve which would make this a highly higher rated hotel:Bungalow was missing hangers inside wardrobe, a bin and a small table and chairs inside the room. I was already aware that there wasn’t a kettle or fridge inside the room, but these additions and some small bottles of water upon arrival will be a great addition for future customers to make the stay even more comfortable.The restaurant is currently having a small makeover, so the bar area looks very bare. It would be good to see more welcoming signs and a menu stand placed outside of the main building, as well as on the beachfront area to show that both areas are part of the same business.Otherwise, we would stay here again in a heartbeat 😁

Very pleasant place just a stone's throw from the sea, whether for eating or sleeping. Very good value for money, helpful and very friendly staff. We recommend the Star Bar 100%! Special mention for the breakfast!
