The room was outdated and could use a makeover, but the room was clean!The staff who work there are very friendly and helpful, renting a scooter is easy and (if the weather is good) you can be picked up by boat for the homestay. The location is within walking distance of restaurants and a supermarket. Also the view is great.The common room was nice and cozy, WiFi did not always work well in the room, but that did not bother us.They also have cats and dogs walking around there which I found very nice :)

I stayed in May 2024. Excellent service from the staff. Large room with sufficient cleanliness. Ideal common area and food at a good price. You can negotiate the price of the rooms, we paid 160,000 rupiah per night for a room without a/c. The a/c was not necessary at night it got cooler. In a good area to rent a motorcycle and explore the island!

2024/08The location is very good, with a great view of the lake. The room is simple but the bed feels clean. The hot water is very hot but the shower head keeps leaking, so I put the water in a bucket and scoop it up to wash.The disadvantage is that apart from towels, soap and toilet paper are not provided. Moreover, there was only one light in the room which was not bright enough. The room felt really messy from the counter to the room. There was a piece of shit on the stairs that I didn't see from the first day I checked in until the fourth day.If you have a limited budget, this is a very good choice, and the prices of the meals above are also reasonable.

Good Guesthouse. The rooms are simple and somewhat outdated, but the price reflects that. Price-quality ratio is very good. Beautiful view over the lake. Ferry docks at the guesthouse and you can rent scooters there. We did not notice any of the unfriendliness described in the reviews, we found the staff very friendly and helpful.

This place has good value for money, but you need to spend as little time as possible in your room. There is a horrible smell that builds up when your door is closed and it comes from the bathroom.The walls are green and look very unappealing.The place has a great view of the lake for the sunset and the ferry to Parapat can pick you at the hotel. When I arrived though it was a 15 minute walk to the accommodation and there is not much food or shops within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. To get to your room you must also go down about 50 steps in a dark space.They have hot water showers and a laundry service. I gave my laundry in the morning but did not receive it back until the next dry. It was dry though. The reception area is often unattended and can take a bit of time.Good for low budget, it's just the smell that ruins it from being great

WE LOST A PLANE BECAUSE OF THEMThe guy at the reception was completely uncaring and unwelcoming from start to finish!The boat that takes you to and picks you up from Parabat does not dock in front of the hotel, but on the opposite side of the island. Nobody warns you, nobody helps you, nobody takes you.We waited 3 hours at the reception for the boat... only to find out it left from somewhere else, we asked if he could give us a lift and he said no unless we paid for it, we ran on foot from the boat. other part of the island and asked passers-by for passage. Finally we arrived at the port on time and the boat had already left, not respecting the departure time and leaving early.We asked if we could rent a scooter and at first he told us no even though he actually had one available.We asked for a room with a double bed and he gave us two singles even though the hotel was empty.The room smelled terribly of sewage due to the bathroom. I could go on, but I'll stop here.I organize trips for people.. and believe me, go elsewhere if you can! I would not recommend this place to anyone!The only nice thing is the common area, better to go where someone will help you so as not to get stuck on the island.

Very good for the budget, it's really inexpensive and very comfortable. I think you couldn't ask for a better location. Motorcycle, cheap.For me, the only downside is the staff, really not pleasant. We feel like we're pissing them off.

Nice guest house with lakeview. They serve breakfast and good milk coffee. You have a pier in front of the guest house by the lake, where the boat from Parapat will drop you directly in front of the guest house. Very good internet in the rooms and on the terrace of the restaurant.You need to be an expert in flushing the toilet with a bucket of water. The walls are very dirty and would need a fresh paint in the rooms so that you feel much better when sleeping there. The stairs leading to the guest rooms pass an underground level of the houses which is very spooky and dirty.

A guesthouse with some areas for improvement. The location is beautifully situated on Lake Toba. The view is beautiful and you have a small outdoor seating area in front of your room. Staff were friendly. Bed is relatively softA point for improvement is the finish. The walls in our room were quite dirty (and green) and the route from the road to our hostel was a construction site that had not been built for some time. According to me, it can be easily solved by finishing it and painting the walls.Price is very good

Stayed there in 2017! Rooms were not clean at all. Quality of the place over all was not so good. BUT the food was good back then! :) And the view was nice! I recommend going there to eat food but you should search for a place to stay close by. Some places have better rooms, delicious food as well and are run by amazing people. There is another place very close to this one that has been one of my favorite place in the world so far. Hope you will find it!

Superb guesthouse! The team is very friendly and warm. Thanks again! 🙏The environment is calm, the rooms overlook the lake.The cooking is simple but it helps, and it's not expensive. The common room is really nice. You can rent scooters and they are in good condition, we had no problems over the two days of rental.FYI, to have hot water you must book a superior room (160,000 rp). Towels are provided.Small pipe problems but it's not that serious. Toilet flush with bucket.You can leave by ferry from the hotel, just wave from the bank.I recommend, I will come back with pleasure. For the price this is what is expected.Terima kashi 😊

It’s bearable but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.The rooms are not only basic but totally bedraggled. Besides the bed, that cracks with every move so you fear it might break, there is only a shabby small cupboard. There’s not even a trash bin. It’s not in fact dirty (except for some parts of the common area) but with stains on the wall and it makes the impression they don’t even try to make it comfortable.Yes it’s cheap but I’ve been to way better accommodations for the same price. The only good thing is the nice lake view from the balcony. The rooms downstairs are even worse. The sink has no connection to the floor so the whole bathroom swims when you use it.Also the lock on the key is a joke. You could probably break it with bare hands.The towels were ripped.Plus point is that we didn’t see any alive or dead bugs …We used the laundry service and they told us that they have a dryer which is not true. So when we had to leave the next day in the evening the laundry was still wet and the guy didn’t even bother to look up from his phone to help us take the laundry down from the line. Our hiking trousers were dirtier than before…So all in all if you’re on budget and your standards are quite low, ok. Others i would recommend spending a bit more on a nice accommodation if you want to enjoy your time here and feel comfortable.
