Be careful, difficult access to the room via large steps, there is no hot water in the rooms, no flushing either. Direct access to the lake. Wake up by the rooster.Very nice host, speaks English, helps you with everything. good foodReception of work in progressVery good for the price

Had a nice stay! We had booked a room with a European toilet. The family is very helpful in arranging a taxi or renting a scooter. Very conveniently, the ferry to Parapat stops at this place!

The hotel was under construction when we arrived. So my opinion is not objective. Better to wait for these to be finalized. But the location is good and the service is good too. The room lacks a little soundproofing.

Great guesthouse, the family is lovely and very helpful. The cheaper rooms are basic but big and very comfortable. Has access to the lake in a quiet area. Their food is really good. Difficult to find anything better for the price. 100% recommended

I had a lovely time at Laster Jony’s. The family is very sweet and helpful. You can rent scooters from them and they also help you plan your next travels. The food served at the restaurant is good. The room was basic (no hot water in budget room) but good for the price. Wifi doesn’t work well in the rooms but it works perfectly at the restaurant. There is a little area to sit and swim by the lake. Very peaceful place, I recommend.

It is a nice guest house by the lake and it has a good restaurant with a terrace, where the family cooks a wide range of dishes (European as well as Indonesian dishes). My room had the private bathroom and a small terrace overlooking the lake. They have a pier a few hundred meters from the guest house where the boat from Parapat will drop you.- there was very weak internet at the rooms, you need to go to the restaurant to have internet- you need to flush the toilet using a bucket with water : if you are not an expert at doing this, all the poop will come back because it's not the same thing as an automatic flushing- only cold water for shower- prices for becak from Tuk Tuk to Tomok omok are exaggerated, on the way back you will pay at least half price even without bargaining

I had a MAGICal time on Samosir Island due to Hamlet’s supplies of the fungal variety. The family are so welcoming and helpful and the room was excellent with a fantastic lake view and powerful hot shower.

Very quiet place (except the resort jet skis having fun in the bay) run by an adorable family. Clean room with a terrace overlooking the lake. Small penalty concerning the cold water and the wifi which does not catch very well downstairs. The food is excellent!! We recommend the BBQ fish with a delicious traditional sauce!Very good value for money 👌

We did not stay at Laster Jony's so I can't rate the rooms. But we went to eat in their restaurant several times, which in our opinion serves the tastiest food in Tuktuk! The portions are generous and the price is right. All people who work there are really sweet. We also let our loundry done there and we were satisfied. The location is great, the quieter part of the village. Highly recommended!

I've been there in 2017. The food was so delicious!!! I wish I could go back again to eat their delicious meals. I was staying at another place but I went there to eat everyday for a while. The rooms there were better than the place I was staying at. Wished I had booked there before. One of my favorite place in the world! I highly recommend it. The familly members are so sweet and kind. Music was played everynight. Guitar and singing. I loved it so much! Thanks again Hamlet! Please tell your mom how I much I miss her food. Enak Sekali! :)

Place full of charm and calm. The family who runs the place is so nice, you will be very well received there. It's clean and comfortable. Very well placed on the island to go around by scooter or bike. Big positive point for the kitchen! The meals and breakfasts are exceptional!We wanted to spend more than 4 nights there…In short, we can only recommend staying at Laster Jony’s
