What a great guy! I didn't have to do anything.. He fixed right away my trip to Iljen en they just picked me up at the hostel! After the hike he gave me a good breakfast. So friendly and helped me know where I had to go for my boat trip (it was so difficult to find it online). 10/10 for sure!

The room and the house in general were relatively clean and the location was good because of the food. The shower only has cold water, at least there is free drinking water.The hosts are relatively friendly, but only helpful as long as you book the tour to Ijen with them.If you want to do the tour alone (which is very easy) they are no longer helpful. They give no information that you need a breathing mask and a health certificate. That's why they probably just want to make money from tourists on the tour. They couldn't or wouldn't help us with transportation to the next town or even transportation to the next bus stop.

I was supposed to go for an Ijen Volcano tour on the 1st of August with them. They did not tell me that the Ijen Volcano was closed and that day when I asked them they said “ah no it is closed, you cannot go” they did not tell me anything …

SCAMI was supposed to go for an Ijen Volcano tour on the 1st of August with them. They did not tell me that the Ijen Volcano was closed and that day when I asked them they said “ah no it is closed, you cannot go” they did not tell me anything in advance even though I took the tour like 3 months ago. Apart from that I paid 500IDR as a deposit and they said they would refund it to me but nothing in a month, I have asked for it several times but still nothing. I would not recommend it at all if you don’t want to be scammed.So sorry for this comment, I would love not to write it. But I have no chance.

We were made very welcome by Dannu who was adorable.We were able to book an excursion to go to Mount Ijen, he was very accommodating both in terms of transport and advice on what we could visit.Dannu prepares breakfast in the morning and it is excellent we had coffee or tea, a plate of fruit with a dish, either noodles or eggs on toast… but always very good!I would definitely come back to his hotel 🥰

We came one night to do the excursion to Kawah Ljen, great welcome and services, the center and the beach are 20 minutes away on footThe rooms are clean, for the bathroom, it all depends on your level of requirements :)

The people who manage the homestay are extremely welcoming, the breakfast is very good and the rooms with comfortable mattresses and air conditioning,Perfect for visiting Ijan but the gentleman at reception can also advise you on all your other projects: he knows everything and is very friendly!Go for it!

We were made very welcome by the hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast served at 9am and they told us how to distribute to Bali the next day.

Following the recommendations by the reviews here on Google, I was expecting a decent stay at Dannu’s Homestay. Unfortunately, this was short from my expectations. The rooms were of low quality and the showers were extremely dirty, probably without a wash in the past weeks! Dannu’s hospitality was rather abrupt, without offering solutions or aid for the questions we enquired about. Having said all this, our tour of Mt Ijen with Dannu’s Homestay was lovely (probably because it was taken care of by another agency), and our guide was ecstatic about our group. Breakfast after was enjoyable as we were starving after the climb. Overall, if you need a quick place to stay, I’d recommend but there are other options which might serve you better!

Danu is super hospitable, friendly and helpful. He and his team organise the best tours for mount Ijen and mount Bromo. The room was comfortable clean and we had a hot shower. After coming back from mount Ijen, Danu welcomed us back with an amazing breakfast.

Dannu is a great host. He's very kind. He takes care of everything. His guest house is comfortable. It has everything and is superbly located. He offered us a 3-day package to visit Mount Ijen, Mount Bromo and Yogyakarta. We were carried away and he managed everything superbly. I'd definitely recommend him!

Initially we were attracted by the pricr and the relatively good reviews. But once we arrived here, after discussing a little bit with Dannu, we decided to stay a second night and let him organize the following day for the three of us: (1) A private car/driver for 11-19:00 at a price of 750.000 IDR, who brought us to a coffee / rubber tree plantation (the way going there is picturesque), a small but interesting waterfall (with nice flowers and plants), then the way to Bangsring Underwater for the snorkeling tour and back to the Homestay. At our demand, he even brought us to a fruit shop (where we tasted some never seen things like snake fruit) and to a department store where I bought shoes for Ijen tour.(2) Snorkeling at the small Island Tabuhan with a boat only for the 3 of us at a price of 1,500,000 IDR, including the entrance to the island and rental for 3 snorkel breathing tubes.(3) shared Ijen tour at 350,000 IDR per person.The Homestay itself is very basic but very clean. I especially liked the AirCon which works very peacefully. The room price is very low, which is really helpful for those budget-limited backpackers. For sure he gets a commission for the tours he organizes but there is a real service behind. Example: we left everything (téléphones passports wallets) in the car when leaving for snorkeling. We have trust on the driver because Dannu is responsible behind him.Dannu lived 15 years in Sweden, then decided to come back to Indonesia because it is too cold in Sweden. This explains why he immediately gains our trust and sympathy. We also gave him plenty of tips to improve his Homestay and he is soooo happy to get all our feedback! I'm sure that he will be improving in future (clearly he intends to help guests as much as possible but he still lacks experience; and he only provides basics to keep the price low).I hope my review can help other backpackers (myself benefit greatly from precedent reviews to take decisions)☺️

So we found this little homestay by accident and also booked the tour to Ijen with Dannu.I can only say that the experience was delighgful. Dannu is a very friendly and well connected host. If you need anything from trips in the region to a taxi waiting for you at the harbour in Banyuwangi or Bali he will provide.Of course the homestay is not a 4 Star Hotel but it is well worth its money and this is comming from a quite picky german.Just be friendly to Dannu and he will be friendly to you and he will also provide fair prices for tours and transports.Just a great time and I wish him all the best.

We stayed there one night with tour to Mt. Ijen with the family (2 adults and.2 kids 9y + 12y). Owner was very friendly and extremely helpful, rooms are nice and big. Even got.a nice breakfast after the tour
