Stayed with Paul recently. Lovely guy and lovely family, great house too! Only stayed one night as the location was convenient for my bike trip. Paul gave advice for the area, provided a lovely breakfast and showed me his great and interesting garden, including catfish. In every review i write I put a negative point, and here I would say that its more expensive than elsewhere I have stayed.

Paulus is very friendly and can explain a lot to you about Flores. De room with private bathroom is basic but sufficient, and it is inside of the family house, which makes you feel welcome. It could be a bit hot though in Borong. The breakfast was amazing. Very nice place to stop off!

Paul has been my driver in Flores Island for the last week, and he surprised me with a visit to his home on the way from Bajawa to Ruteng, and I wish I would've known to book a stay here. His family was so welcoming with fresh coconut and mango that he took from the trees he's farmed. His home is beautiful, with a large garden of varied fruits and flowers that are well maintained. And he even grows catfish! His English is very, very good, and I have learned SO much about Flores Island and its different cultures this week. It's been truly incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend touring Flores Island with Paul and visiting his homestay. Best trip EVER!

Really beautiful and cosy homestay where you can enjoy the authentic Flores family life and culture. I highly recommend this place šŸ˜ I stayed 3 days with Paul, helped him in the garden, with the pigs and the catfish and enjoyed time at the near beach and nature around. An unforgettable stay!

I am cycling around the world and stayed one night at Paul’s Homestay. It was a spectacular experience. Paul is such a good host. When we got there, he served us fresh coconut water from a coconut he picked from his palm. We had an amazing dinner —fresh caught catfish that he farms. We learned a lot about the local culture—his English is excellent. The room was lovely. A great way to learn about the local culture!
