Our feel-good homestay! Wonderful atmosphere, we felt very comfortable with Ms Ellen and her family from the very first moment and would have loved to stay longer. The homestay is in a quiet area, not on a noisy street, but restaurants and shops are not far. Cosy lounge, rooms with A/C, the most delicious breakfast. Really! We could use the kitchen and washing machine, rent a scooter, airport transfers and rides into town were quickly organized. Perfect! Hope to come back one day :)

If there is one Homestay that really made me feel *home* in my 6 months of travel, it was the D'Flora.I'm now a return guest and to be frank, it was more returning to friends and family when going back to the D'Flora in Labuan Bajo.Ellen, Arif, Rio, Lia, Reni and the others make you feel the most welcome and are so caring and passionate to make your stay the best. I have been in some great homestays but this was number one. I loved it! The location is super nice, they have scooters to rent and the two lovely dogs and cats are the most cuddly furry friends you'll find on your trip. There are many dinners with people you can join (literally the best food I had in LBJ), sometimes a Karaoke night and just a lot of laughter and love. It was also really easy to connect with other people, especially when joining the shared dinners. The whole Team really had managed to make this place a home for all guests and for sure I will definitely go back a 3rd time when I'll be in Komodo again!I loved to be there!

I had a reservation somewhere else and the taxi driver made a mistake and took me there, the truth is that even though they saw that my reservation was not with them, they did not hesitate to invite me to sit and rest and they made me tea and cookies, they helped me to locate the place where I had to go, I had to go back to them since the place where I was did not have internet and they offered me the password and they even prepared me some pancakes that were delicious without any commitment and with all the kindness in the world. The truth is that they are a lovely family with a beautiful heart. I even wanted to stay with them, but I couldn't cancel the other reservation I already had.

Attracted by so many 5-star reviews (I really struggle to believe they are all authentic) we (a couple) booked this homestay for 2 nights, knowing that it would of course not be a luxurious accommodation but rather a basic homestay, just like so many others we stayed at.After one night we fled the place for the following reasons, which hopefully will be taken at heart by this family (?) as a feedback to improve the overall service of their future guests travelling on a budget.- Noisy in the morning. Roasters, dogs, people talking will wake you up really early. There is no window to be closed and walls are super thin. You will hear everything happening in th house. One thing is to be in a place with basic amenities, one thing is not being able to sleep. So if you are looking for a quiet place far from the town (and its loud mosques) it is not the place.- Location: not ideal and far from everything. You can access the house from a very bumpy road or from the back, going through rubbish and cow poop.- Bathroom: apart from the expected cold water, the soap and shampoo dispensers were broken and barely held together. They fell into pieces as soon as they were touched.- Breakfast: just poor. Old fruits and burned coffee were served.- Mattress and linen are old and smelly. To conclude, I am sure the people running the place are kind and that is why I genuinely hope that addressing these issues will help them flourish as a guesthouse.
