What an amazing place. Perfect and unique blend of accessing a virgin beach and all the comforts of a 5 star resort without any of the crowds. Not only is the service 5 stars, it was our favorite stop during our honeymoon. This place is truly magical and the staff make sure to treat you like royalty. From the activities to the meals, everything is 5 star service. Wish Sumba was closer to home. There are only 11 villas so make sure to plan ahead of time because this place is too incredible to miss out on. HEADS-UP: take a dramamine from the airport to the Sanubari.

An undoubtedly wonderful and luxurious place... however, dear foreigners, you should come out of your enclosure because the hotel employs children in the hotel's extension area. These children make bales of straw to put on the roofs of each of the new pavilions under constructionAnd at the same time, leaving your enclosure. Ask yourself about the water resources used by each of the individual swimming pools and this English green lawn.

Unforgettable and maybe the most paradise-look like hotel I can ever imagine. To be true, I’ve never thought that hotel like this can even exist in our industrialized world.We’ve been living at the villa with the direct access to the beach. Just your pool and next step there is the beach.Great staff, mind blowing beach, truly blue color of the water, unforgettable view and sunset, good level restaurant, clean and authentic-like villa, and u stoppable sound of the ocean. Just must visit place in your life.Also, must have to visit both of the nearest waterfalls. That’s something!

I had a wonderful time at the Sanubari Resort in Sumba. The resort is right on the beach, which is absolutely stunning with fine white sand. The surf is great, with options for all levels, and it's fantastic for beginners.The staff are amazing, with beautiful warm smiles. The food was excellent; every meal was delicious, and it was one of the best mee goreng I have ever had!Sumba is a mission to get to, but it's absolutely worth it.

I have no words to describe the Sanubari...My boyfriend and I had such a special time there...This place looks like a dream - the scenery with the stunning white sand beach, our beautiful private villa, the very caring team, the unique restaurant & bar on the beach, the deep connection with nature. We immediately felt at home and super lucky to be there. Thank you Rowan for being so welcoming, Carlos for one of the best horse ride of my life, Vincent, Herlin, Rodi, Jeffrey & all the team! We will be back for sure.

I recently visited The Sanubari and it was wonderful! The resort has a chill vibe on a beautiful property. The owners are very personable and friendly and the staff was very kind, always chatty with a smile. There’s plenty to do there from surfing and horseback riding to playing golf. Whether you’re looking for lots of activities or a laidback vacation, this is the place to be.

We had just arrived from Bali and were so tired of the hustle and bustle there. We never truly got to feel relaxed and unwind until we arrived at Sanubari. A true escape. Plenty of activities to do and the staff were the best.

I stayed there for 4 days.. a wonderful resort.. and a special location.. combining the luscious green nature.. the charming beach and the distinctive mountainous terrain.. and beautiful beach villas.. suitable for newlyweds and lovers of calm and relaxation.. the staff’s treatment is friendly and sophisticated.. the area is still pristine. Many distinctive events, restaurants and cafes can be added, making it an important destination for everyone who visits Sumba IslandAll the staff are great, friendly and kind.. but Intan is a really different person. There is definitely no other place like this on earth. Simply incredibly beautiful and the service is without exception perfect. The employees are all so authentically nice and cheerful. This is how you imagine paradise.
