Pan Pacific Jakarta

Everything was lacking and in my opinion not the 5 star hotel that it claimed to be compared to other luxury chains already available in Jakarta.As a Titanium GHA member, I arrived at 2pm which was the listed check in time, but the room was not ready yet - the front staff was apologetic, but I understand that the hotel must be understaffed as it was a long weekend.Finally I had to wait until 3.45 pm for check in - something I thought was unacceptable for a hotel that advertises 2pm check inEven the member perk (early check in) could not be applied. As compensation, the hotel provided late check outI booked the premier suite with club access, along with GHA membership perksUsually at other hotels at a similar standard, there would be some sort of small welcome snacks, local fruit, etc, but there was nothing on the coffee table - a chance for a small impression - gone.The suite was otherwise spacious but due to its corner design, everything was hidden in edges and did not create the “wow” impression when you first enter the suiteThe indoor pool’s temperature was cold, probably due to the high winds, but there seems to be no temperature control.What I expected to be a nice dip in the afternoon turned out to be an overcrowded and noisy 30 mins I was there. The pool facility was shared with the Park Royal Serviced Apartements which made the already small pool, get even smaller with all the extra crowd. Not the 5 star pool I was expecting.Dinner at Keyaki was fine but they could not charge my bill to my room which was something unusual from a 5 star hotel, but instead deducting it from the deposit.Up till now, I was still fine with the hotel, thinking that these were probably early hotel flaws, but it wasn’t until breakfast that I was livid. At check in it was informed that breakfast would be divided into 2 groups due to maximum capacity.I arrived at breakfast at 8.45, and was very dissapointed to be greeted and told that the breakfast was full and we were redirected to the Eden bar for waitlist. We waited till 9.30 before we were redirected inside the breakfast area. In all my life staying at hotels, I have never been denied a seat at breakfast and to see that I had to wait 45 minutes before getting a table, and I was not the only one unhappy as I could see multiple guests complaining of the situation. When I was finally given a table, there were long queues of guests waiting at the restaurant entrance to be served a table.I could think of multiple ways to deal with this overflow, serving breakfast at the Pacific Club perhaps, since the menu was mostly ala carte, would greatly reduce this overflow.Breakfast selection & buffet were decent but due to the late admission, the salmon teriyaki bowl I wanted to try was sold out at 9.30 (ordered immediately after I was seated) - again another dissapointment to add to the growing listAfter all the misses, I would safely say that I will not be taking advantage of the late check out as there is nothing to do - no spas, did not enjoy the poolWhile I could feel that they did try their best, this hotel was understaffed, underwhelming and unacceptable based on what they were advertising, I did not feel I received a 5 star luxury standard, I felt that everything was lacking and would highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Sorry to say but they are not ready for being 5star hotel at all. Even im check in at almost 15:30 but our room isnt ready yet. The breakfast very overwhelming, the selection isnt representative a 5star hotel, we waited too long for a food, and also they even didn’t know how to serve a cheese platter. And many things disappointed tbh.

Great hotel with a great location.

If you have high service requirements, don't come here. Counter service, baggage service, housekeeping, everything was crazy slow. I waited two hours for my luggage to arrive and I had to go downstairs to get it myself. I called to cancel the reservation but couldn't wait for a reply. I said I wanted to call back and didn't call the whole night... Totally disappointing service...

Need-less to say, our stay was wonderful and beyond our expectation in each and every aspect. We had the most pleasant stay.We had cocktails at eden bar, at level 90. The highest bar in Jakarta. The biewywas breathtaking. The cocktails menu are comprehensive.The breakfast at Keyaki was one of the best we had. They wer very well prepared and of the best quality.---------After checking out from Pan Pacific Hotel, my husband realised he had left his WEDDING RING at the hotel bathroom. We were devastated thinking it would not be found.I called and requested assistance from Ms. Ginoto Kumendong as the Service One Ambassador to check. Over the phone she told me to wait while she will definitely check with the housekeeping team, she told me to expect waiting time of an hour ( in which I feel its unexpectedly fast ) .Surprisingly within only 15-20 minutes, she reached out to me with the most wonderful news of the picture of the found wedding ring.We are forever grateful for her and all the Pan Pacific Hotel Indonesia.THANK YOU.

An impressive experience....

Sky Bar - EDEN, located on the 90th floor of the new Pan Pacific Hotel in central JakartaCurrently, it is the highest sky bar in Jakarta, and you can overlook downtown Jakarta from a tremendous height.The outside of Sky Bar faces northeast, so it gets shaded early in the afternoon, but the bar itself is open from 5 p.m. The sofa is comfortable, but when you lie down on it, your view is blocked, so it just feels like a rooftop. After the sun sets, the lighting becomes very dark, so it is somewhat difficult to take portraits with a night view in the background.The atmosphere inside the Sky Bar is better than the outside, and since it faces west, you can even see the sunset, but it's a bit disappointing that it's blocked by the window.However, I recommend the Jakarta Sky View, which is still not widely known but has an incredible height.
