Good hotel (or guest house), helpful staff. Good value. The room is decent but not that cosy without an anteroom and with the window to the corridor. Nice modern bathroom but poor ventilation. Poor breakfast choice.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, the guesthouse has the best staff, willing to help guests who are in trouble. Next to the guesthouse there is a delicious breakfast! Her mother's name is Mrs. Tutik. You have to enliven it guys 🫶🏻🥹❤️

I'm staying here right now. Pretty much the "guest house" (it's basically a hotel) with the least amount of common sense I've ever seen. They have no recommendations for tours or any other services. Basically you're on your own.They also wouldn't allow me a 30-minute late checkout just so I could shower after my Mt Bromo trip. A little understanding could go a mile here.The rooms are decent and it seems new but I honestly would stay in a hostel over this. Location wise pretty far out to anywhere you'd want to be in town.

Nice guesthouse in a good location, quiet and fairly new, which makes it look good. The bed creaked enormously, but we were given another room with a better bed. Furthermore, clean, hot/cold water tank to fill your bottle and seats inside and outside.

Stayed four days and three nights, the guest house was comfortable, water heater was available, minimalist, clean, and the items looked new and attractive. The location is close to the center of Malang city, so it's easy to order a grab, it's not on the main road so it's far from noisy vehicles. There is a 24 hour reception so that when you are picked up when going on a Bromo trip it is safe.The staff were also friendly and very helpful, my team and I were allowed to leave our bags before check-in and after check-out.

This is a lovely place to stay in Malang seems quite new and very well done. Rooms are very spacious with great size bathroom! Warm water and soap provided. The bed was very comfy. There's a little communal balcony and also an area in the middle corridors for chilling. Cold water refill and can help organise bromo and waterfall tour.

We stayed here for 5 nights as a base for part of our East Java trip. It was perfect. The standard of the hotel surpassed our expectations. For less than €20 a night it was a super high standard. Clean room, comfortable bed, amazing hot shower, free cold water refills and really friendly staff. It's close to some nice coffee shops, a decent Korean place and a fried noodle spot. 30 minute walk to train station and the colourful kampungs. Organised our trip to Tempuk Sewu waterfall with a driver that reception recommended and he was great and good price. Malang also surprised us at how nice of a city it is. Would highly recommend staying here. It also seems to be a nice, quiet and safe area.Aircon does take a good while to cool down the room is probably the only negative point.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights and couldn’t recommend it enough! The rooms are so spacious and clean with amazing staff willing to do anything to help you enjoy your stay, it’s in a great location for anything you could want and it’s so easy to catch a grab to anywhere! Highly recommend staying here if you come to Malang!

Esma guest house is strategically located in the center of Malang city so if you want to go anywhere it's close. The place is comfortable, quiet and clean. The price is still affordable. The staff are friendly.

New building, nice clean rooms, quite spacious parking, it's just a shame if someone is chatting in the lobby, it's quite audible and noisy in the room, especially when it's almost midnight there's still someone chatting, Thursday stayed 2 nights, on the 2nd night the lights went off and on several times Until we wanted to check out, it was still on and off.
