The staff are lovely. Keen, friendly, hard working and willing to help with anything you might ask. The garden is lovely. Try if you can to get one of the rooms on the top floor. They feel private and have private balconies with stunning views overlooking Lake Batur. Avoid the Bungalows. They look nice enough but are less private and are connected to the adjacent unit by a wooden inside door (albeit locked), but noise travels easily through the door so that you can hear almost every word being said, and not ideal if you want peace and quiet and have noisy children in the next room. Hence 3 stars. 5 if you get the top room, 1 if you get a bungalow.

We discovered a poorly equipped room, with a bathroom in very poor condition. No drinking water available on site. The location for climbing Batur is correct. If you are roots, add 2 stars.

In fact it is a good solution, if only for the price, the rooms are nice, the view is beautiful and there is a serene air of conviviality, but the place deserves more composure and order. It's fine as it is, but it leaves that slight feeling of degradation that could be avoided with a little more forethought. Helpful staff, something in the room isn't working... it's hard to remember an outdoor breakfast... with so many flies.

I was disappointed staying here, I ordered a room at Traveloka from 6 December 2023, to stay overnight on 26 December 2023, when I and my family arrived at the location, Batur Sunrise was surprised by the arrival of me and my family. It said I had booked but there was no record of them. Is it strange????, and they say they never advertise on traveloka. You know? If I don't advertise, why can I book a room, strange??? Then suddenly Batur rushed to find a bedroom for me and Kel. Strange? Initially it was not accepted but I wanted to provide a room, and the room I was given did not match my order at Traveloka, the price I ordered at Traveloka was IDR 2.2 million, but I don't know what the price of the room I got was definitely cheaper. I had to ask for breakfast at Batur, and I was immediately given a breakfast menu with a price list...you know??? Even though my room order at Traveloka already included breakfast. Batur's party was completely hands off, assuming that my family and I had never booked a room. That's why we weren't considered guests there. They also bought the breakfast we got outside to serve to me and my friends. Disappointed with the service at Sunrise Guest House. Never stay here again. Or I will feel the disappointment that I feel.
