It is a hotel with many possibilities. It needs some updates and decoration but it has three very strong points: the food is exquisite, the staff is very kind and friendly, and most importantly, it has a hot spring “spa” area, with 4 spring hot pools from the Batur volcano and one Bigger for swimming, very well maintained. The room is very spacious and the bed is comfortable although basic. I was very very good!

I'm only giving it a 2 because of the pools and the service from the daughter who was friendly... And also they have me a stand alone fan when I asked.It looked good on booking.com but the room was terrible .. hole in the bathroom ceiling and no window there so took ages for the shower water that went everywhere to dry, no fan, no Aircon, the sheet didn't fit the bed and moved in the night to make the uncomfortable bed even worse. The curtains were a transparent nylon and the pool lights were on all night.And to top it off it is so close to the road that the traffic noise is constant.The breakfast was minimal at best.. Either egg or fruit or juice and no milk and no drinking water provided, no tea or coffee but they did give me boiling water on request.The final straw was being asked for 1,300k for a sunrise trek that Costas 300k from Ubud or 400k booked locally.To be avoided.

I was charging my cellphone in the restaurant, this employee moved his seat to be close to his cellphone. As soon as I looked in the other direction, he immediately seemed to want to take his cellphone. I kept looking at him and he was rude. The service also takes a long time.The only one who was polite was his grandfather

We left a day earlier because we didn't get sleep. Until late in the evening you can hear the cars on the road. (Gues it depends on which room, ours was close to the road). In the early morning all the jeeps are starting to drive.. The room was not clean. There were band aids on the ceiling with hairs on them, the hood of the extractor in the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in I gues some years? And ofcourse this is Bali but also the service was bad. No explanation about the room of things in the area. They only let me listen trough the phone to someone who wanted to sell a jeeptour. After all I wouldn't go back to this town and definitely not to the hotel in how it looks like now.

The people working at this place are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is very good, especially the chiken curry and spring rolls; recommended by Ardanan, always with a smile 😁
