The hotel and the room would be nice, but sadly the noise and the busyness of the main road ruins everything. It literally feels like you are lying outside next to a road which is used by these extremely loud jeeps, trucks and motorbikes. + the roosters around the hotel are ruthless with their voice (started screaming from around 4am)

Gorgeous views of the lake and really helpful couple running the place. Got us sorted with the sunrise jeep ride up to mount Batur straight from their place and there are also plenty of great hot springs places walking distance from here.

Ideal place to stay if you want to do the Mount Batur sunrise hike. Very reasonably priced and beautiful views of the lake from the room. The hotel helps you arrange the tour (we paid 400K per person), the guide was terrific and took amazing pictures of us. Beware that there is no AC (only a fan) and there's many animals entering in the room (flying ants, geko's and other little creatures), although these mostly disappear at night so we were not too bothered.
