It is a good accommodation, but the service was a disaster. We booked at the reception the massage for the next night. The next night we asked if we could do it ealier, but they said they’ve already had a massage booked earlier, so we waited for our massage at the scheduled hour. At 8 o’clock there was nobody at the massage area, we waited for the specialist 15-20mins but no one came. The massage area was dirty, after we cancelled they said that the massage room is under construction so we had to do it at the yoga area. We cancelled the 4 massages for 4 people. They said that the yoga specialist is on holiday so no yoga class. The sheets of our beds were dirty. The driver from our first day came after 20mins of waiting for him at the reception. The location in the jungle is nice and you need a scooter or a driver to reach any tourist spot, but it is nice to live in the jungle for a few days. The island is arid, droughty so the jungle is not the same as on Bali island.

We had a fantastic experience at Mesare Resort! The unique location is incredibly tranquil, nestled in nature, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Our villa was beautifully furnished, spacious, and offered stunning views of the surrounding jungle, creating a serene atmosphere for relaxation.A special shoutout to Wayan and Shery for their outstanding service. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. We can't recommend Mesare Resort enough for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a stunning natural setting!

We have stayed in several properties in Indonesia and this was perhaps the nicest hotel we have stayed in. The rooms are surrounded by greenery with part of the walls made of bamboo and this means being in direct contact with nature, if you are not used to feeling nature with all its animals it can become unpleasant to sleep here. The rooms are very nice and I really appreciated the mosquito curtain, the bathroom is spectacular, open with a green area and a view of the sky. The restaurant area is spectacular with views of the pool area. The hotel restaurant is very good with fair and accessible prices.Unfortunately the hotel is located in an area that is difficult to reach, moving from the hotel to the tourist areas is quite unpleasant with car journeys lasting up to an hour. Given the location of the hotel, it would be appropriate for the hotel staff to at least include a free pick-up service from the port.

Is this a 4 star hotel? No. 2 stars maybe. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The food, nice. 4 star worthy? Again no.Although the chocolate lava cake is pretty good. The rooms are however an issue.. they are not cleaned to standard, and occasional ant or two on the bedding, stained furniture and floors not thoroughly cleaned.Pictured beautifully but did not deliver on first impression and that impression did not change. We felt like this was a 2 star experience as a whole.Location isn’t for everyone as the road is so poorly maintained and hard to travel even for an experienced driver. Steep drive while avoiding 1m wide potholes is not fun.Quiet place at times but gets loud with the chickens. No road noise.I feel like this is a fair review.

We had a lovely two night stay at this resort, and my only complaint was that we didn’t stay longer. We “splurged” (still very reasonable) on one of the larger rooms (Room 20) and it was beautiful, with lovely amenities, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and helped us with the coffee machine and by bringing us extra water as requested. Shery at check in was so sweet and shared stories with us about the island, which we loved. The restaurant kept surprising us with excellent meals and juices and we thoroughly enjoyed the varied options. We rented a scooter and had no issues accessing the rest of the island from the hotel. Would stay again!

The place is wonderful even if is very far away from the rest of the island. The staff is very kindly, especially Kari (ask the reception for him!) unfortunately there weren’t yoga sessions the days we were there.

Friendly environment and staffMagnificent swimming pool but cold and in the shade from 3 p.m. in the middle of August.Excellent catering on the other hand!On the other hand, regarding the rooms, it is more than basic, cleanliness leaves something to be desired, insects in the room, every day (supporting photo), cleanliness of sheets and towels (swimming pool and bathroom) questionable …Bathroom infested with ants!Almost impossible to sleep at night because of the crowing of several roosters from 2:30 a.m., catastrophic.Poor massage, you have your head in a cushion with a towel preventing you from breathing... catastrophicImpossible to leave the hotel on foot, everything is very far away

It is impossible to sleep in this resort with many roosters making kukeleku sound the whole night (and day). we left earlier because it was impossible to stay there. the resort is on a dry hill so you are stuck there. not good at all. they call it jungle sound, but just roosters nothing else. not possible to sleep there.
