We had a very negative experience with the staff here. We checked in for 3 nights for our honeymoon and had booked a Riverview Suite with a private pool. We paid on arrival and then were taken to the cheapest room which did not have a pool and was very small. We initially didn’t realise as the staff had made a beautiful flower bath and offered us a complimentary dinner, but after checking our booking we noticed we were in a room almost $500 AUD less expensive that what we paid for. We brought this up with the staff who made no effort to apologise and offered us a floating breakfast as compensation. We had to push to even get a refund for the inferior room and were very disappointed with the way the staff went about it. Their explanation was that a systems error double booked the room, however we booked over 6 months ago and would have appreciated being told we were being downgraded on arrival rather than leaving us to realise it ourselves. We had the impression that Indonesian people were not looking to scam tourists but this really soured our experience of our Honeymoon and of Bali. We were offered a slightly better room for two nights, a partial refund and a massage, but it didn’t equate to the cost of the booking difference. The positives are that the retreat is beautiful and very peaceful. It is well maintained and has beautiful gardens. The restaurant staff are excellent and very kind. The yoga Shala was amazing but not utilised well at all with one yoga class a day that’s aimed at beginners. The private yoga and wellness experiences offered are not authentic and it’s a shame given Ubud is 30-40 minutes away. It would be excellent if they improved these so that you do not need to leave the resort. We would advise travellers to check their booking carefully on arrival and if a regular yogi to find a driver to get into Ubud to attend classes there.

I was there for treatment and my phone battery is nearly out when I finished the treatment, and I asked Putri at the reception to see if I could borrow a mobile charger. Putri not only lent me the mobile charger also helped me with getting grab to get to my hotel. She’s very kind, helpful and professional. Thank you Putri!I’ll definitely stay here next time!

A little corner of paradise surrounded by nature. We stayed in this establishment twice (2007 and 2024), in the Bidadari suite.Everything was perfect: the suite (magnificent and spacious, well appointed and decorated, swimming pool and bathtubs facing the river, outdoor bathrooms), the meals (fresh and organic products worked to perfection), the service (the staff is... 'incredible kindness and professionalism), the places (everything is planted and aspires to rest and relaxation), the spa which is wonderful, all the yoga classes,..., the gym, and in full nature so far from the noise and traffic of Ubud but not too far to be able to make getaways. We will return with great pleasure!

Came her for a couples massage but didn’t stay at the hotel. We had a wonderful experience in beautiful nature. The best part was hearing all the birds in the background and getting in the rose pedal bath overlooking the river along all the palm trees. Highly recommend
