I booked a 90-minute oil pressure massage at 4pm on October 13, 2024. When I arrived at the spa office, I didn’t feel a warm welcome. There was no health questionnaire. There were only 2 types of essential oils to choose from. The most outrageous thing was the lady who handled my massage. , I coughed intermittently during the massage, and I didn’t wear a mask, which was very disturbing. I couldn’t feel the strength of the massage, just like applying oil all over my body. I asked her to increase the strength with gestures and words, but there was no improvement. The most exaggerated thing was that after the massage, I used a hair dryer. The outlet was broken. I informed the spa office without drying my hair. I finally finished it and felt a little cold. After the spa was completed, the hotel restaurant that I had booked at 6 o'clock was canceled. I hope the hotel can improve it. This time in Bali The itinerary is the most imperfect one, it costs money and suffers.

Wonderful stay at Alila, a real retreat in the jungle.||Excellent service and thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Great seeing the monkeys at close hand although you had to watch your things!||Would definitely recommend if you would like a relaxing holiday. ||Food was great although only 2 restaurants and 1 pool.

We stayed at Alila Hotel Ubud for our 2nd anniversary in a Private Villa with a pool. The room was spacious, the pool spotless, and the bathtub surrounded by fish was a unique touch. In the afternoon, monkeys roam around, which was fun to watch. They’re not aggressive, but don’t leave food out—they’ll grab it!

The Alila resort is one of the most unique and stunning places we have ever stayed in and we are so glad we visited as part of our honeymoon. The hotel felt special from the moment we arrived and reception softly welcomed us to “The Jungle” along with face towels and a refreshing drink. The views around the pool and bar area are absolutely spectacular and the monkeys give a fun and non-intrusive immersion in nature to the whole experience. The breakfast was delicious each day and really in fitting with the overall luxury feel of the hotel. There are plenty of choices for breakfast which were all really fresh and well presented. This theme continued with the afternoon teas which we enjoyed multiple times during our stay. All the staff throughout the visit were absolutely brilliant. The room we stayed in (Deluxe Room) was slightly on the small side but had amazing views of the jungle valley and a beautiful outdoor shower and bath.Whilst at the hotel we thoroughly enjoyed the morning Thai Chi class and morning rice field walk. The local village is a really nice place to stroll through and meet smiley locals. As other people have noted Ubud town centre is a taxi journey away but apps can easily be used to get a ride into town which is fully worth doing to enjoy the plentiful restaurant options and catch a Monkey Dance. Given the traffic, it is genuinely quicker to get a ride to the near side of the town and walk the final few minutes to the centre.Alila Ubud is fully worth the visit for people after a special stay in the most unique setting.
