Let me start by saying this hotel is a real stunner—beautiful architecture, charming wooden villas, and windows galore. But let's put the rose-tinted glasses down for a second...The room: Absolutely lovely. Four nights in a villa with views that make you forget all your worries...until you find surprise droppings left by an anonymous critter. Twice. Hey, at least the mystery pet seemed to enjoy the place too!Now, about the service. We tried room service once. The food was fine, but here's the kicker—those leftovers were still on our porch two days later. They cleaned the room but didn't bother with the trash. Maybe they thought it was modern art?The pool: More like a ghost town with a side of murky water. Not a staff member in sight. The only thing cleaning itself was my patience. Leftovers and trash were piling up as if they were trying to start a new compost project.The Wedja restaurant: Ah, where do I begin? The menu was about as diverse as a toddler's diet. One day, no soy milk; the next day, like magic, soy milk appears. And don't even get me started on the iced Americano mystery. The food itself was as forgettable as a dentist appointment, and the service was moving in slow-motion.All in all, this hotel is like a diamond in the rough...with an emphasis on the rough. Gorgeous setting, lots of potential, but the management seems to have a "laissez-faire" attitude toward, you know, running a hotel. We won’t be recommending this one unless they start taking their own hospitality seriously.

Fantastic hotel!Very close to the center of Ubud with grab, out of the chaos of the city.We had dinner several times in the hotel, both in the restaurant but we also took advantage of the room service, truly excellent food, tasty, very clean restaurant, courteous waiters, the courses are served slowly but hey we are on holiday, what's the rush, nothing too exaggerated anyway.The only thing I don't recommend is the bamboo room because so many insects get in, the bathroom fills up with mosquitoes and gets flooded after a shower, I recommend mosquito repellent pads and anti-mosquito plates!The hotel also has massage services, which were not available when we stayed, and free yoga classes three times a week, which were nice to take part in.Beautiful swimming pool overlooking the rice fields.Really highly recommended hotel, very kind staff.We had to check out very early in the morning and they still allowed us to have breakfast in our room before leaving, what more could you ask for!
