The location is ideal, located not far from the port, in the countryside, far from heavy traffic, just after the small town where traffic is intense so much more pleasant to get around, and close to a road with all the bars and restaurants by the sea. We stayed there for a week, and we couldclearly live here because this island is so pleasant and the place is nice. From the cottage you can, from the interior of the island, go both east and west and avoid the extremely congested section of road from the port. We are between 15 minutes and 1 hour from everything. On the island there is no Gojek or Grab, nor any taxi which offers to take you somewhere every 2 minutes, so remember to rent a scooter as soon as you arrive because on foot you won't go anywhere (100,000 Rp/ day), fuel is not checked on departure or arrival. IF you have to refill it, you will find it everywhere for Rp 30,000 per 1.5l bottle.Check the brakes, because some descents require heavy braking (we had to change one). Also remember to ask the host to reserve your taxi for your departure. The small shops close at 10 p.m. so remember to buy water (Rp 10,000 everywhere on the island except tourist places).During the day there is a small shop just before the entrance to the cottage. We had read the comments, so yes, there are dogs and roosters who speak at all hours and prayer at 6 a.m. for some but it is much less disturbing than the Australians who turn on the music loudly and talk strong as we could have in cities like Kuta, etc... After 2 days we no longer pay attention to it, it's the magic of nature. The room is spacious, the air conditioning works very well, there is no point in leaving it in our absence because it cools down very quickly, and there was only a short moment in the morning when the water hardly flowed, probably due to the time when the Balinese all shower before moving, but it only happened to us once and it didn't last long. The terrace is pleasant. We came to work, the wifi connection is perfect and it's the best we've had.As for cleanliness, nothing to complain about, we actually saw 2 cockroaches in one week and in 2 cottages (both in the same one by the way), but we are in the countryside, so nothing surprising, and nothing to see no. more with the hygiene of the place. For fitness enthusiasts, there is a gym 2 minutes away on foot in an unlikely location, but with what you need in terms of equipment to do almost everything. 20,000 Rp per session and possibility of having a protein shake afterwards, but without air conditioning, so you have to go very early to avoid dying from the heat. Please note that the establishment follows an eco-responsible approach, which is very good, so the rooms are not made up, unless you ask.On the other hand, they are very responsive in the event of a request, but it is not always easy to find someone so use their WhatsApp.Remember to always have cash on you because very few places take the card, however you will find everything, everywhere, even in the middle of the island.Do not hesitate to ask us any questions for your stay, we have tested all the surrounding bars and cafes, explored the island for a week, and we have also kept in touch with locals, so we will be happy to help you if necessary , whether you are here to work to chill, or both. Contact us on Instagram at @anneso.globaventure. We can tell you where to have breakfast, brunch, go out in the evening, go to karaoke with the locals, the visiting pitfalls to avoid, etc…Thank you to our hosts for this stay, we will come back to stay with you for at least a month next year.
