It all started badly and everything ended badly.1- The name “Resort & Spa” to start. Only in name. This is in no way a Resort. Only a few villas lost in the middle of nothing and no spa! No massage service is offered either!2- Location. The “Resort” is far from the village. You have to walk 15 minutes to get there (the return on foot is a very steep climb).3- The service. Despite its completely lost location, no catering service is offered. Neither at lunchtime nor in the evening. For breakfast, you don't have to be in a hurry. For the last breakfast, we had indicated the day before that we would need it at 8 a.m. because we had a boat that morning. This one, however, was served almost 30 minutes late!4- The villa itself. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the shower was not working. We report this to reception. The receptionist checks (unintentionally obviously) the taps. Impossible to repair the shower until the end of the stay. To stay and not change accommodation, they offered to give us a night and transport. We accept since friends have also rented a villa. However, when checking out, they pretended to have never told us that and refused to reimburse us for one night.5- Check out. In addition to their refusal to reimburse, they are wrong about the schedule of our ferry (which we had explicitly indicated the day before). Furthermore, they refuse to call a driver until the Check out is fully paid. When the driver finally agrees to take us, he drops us off on a bad platform. Result: we miss our boat and are forced to pay for another one.Accommodation to avoid absolutely!

Terribly overrated : our shower broke instantly on arrival and they initially offered to give us one our for free, which they finally did not do. Just a free transportation to make up for the fact we could not shower in our bungalow…Then on departure day, despite telling them the day before we had to be at the boat at 9:15 they gave us breakfast late, taxi was late and we missed the boat by a few minutes and had to pay for another one (im pretty sure they did it on purpose).Poorly managed hotel (which you can not even remotely call a resort) by unprofessional staff.Very loud during the day because of construction (the view is also not like the pictures).Save your money and stay somewhere else !

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and had a wonderful time at this resort. If you are looking for a corporate run hotel, this is not the place for you; Akusara is a small family run resort away from the main strip. We enjoyed being in nature and getting to know the staff Wayan, Idayu and others. It was easy to get around on the hired scooter and the staff assisted to arrange massages in the resort. We felt at home staying here and would definitely stay again.

The place is a little dated, but the atmosphere are service is top notch. Few bungalows here, so private and quiet. Outdoor showers are awesome. I recommend using in sunlight though or it will be quite brisk as the hot water is not for long (at least in our bungalow)

Nice setting, and very very quiet, but totally overrated: the service is not exceptional at all, it is classic and everywhere in Bali we have found much better for half the price or even less.Be careful, the service is minimal!!! No catering on site or surroundings, and excessive means of transport on Nusa Penida! If you are not ''2 wheels'' be careful you will be totally isolated, dependent on very expensive taxisFor us no hot water first evening and last dayBasic breakfast from 7 a.m., when it's meeting time for all the diving clubs... so you have to do without it
