Tia's accommodation is beautifully located. The place ends on this side, you are right on the river where the rainforest begins. We had the cottage right down by the river. The children had a lot of fun, there was a lot to discover and they were able to ride their floaties along the river for a while. Attention: however, you should not underestimate the current. And be sure to bring water shoes. Our highlight was the visit of a whole troop of long-tailed macaques to our house. 😍We didn't have hot water in the accommodation, even though this was promised beforehand. But it's actually not common there. The beds were OK so far, I just really wished there was a mattress protector under the extremely thin sheets. Unfortunately, the bedding and towels didn't all smell good (some musty or as if they hadn't been dried quickly enough). When we arrived in the bathroom there was water in the natural stones, probably from cleaning. Due to the high humidity, it doesn't dry out properly over time. The furnishings and ambience are really nice and you shouldn't forget that you are in a small town in the middle of the jungle. It was very pleasant at night in April with the fans, we didn't miss an A/C.Our luggage was transported from the village for an additional charge, partly by motorbike and partly carried. The property is not accessible by car.We were there for almost 5 days. I can only recommend everyone to stay there longer. Bukit Lawang and the surrounding area is simply magical. Our travel time was in April, it was very pleasant, you didn't see any crowds of tourists in town.
