We stayed for 5 nights in Junia Guesthouse. Anton helped us arranging everything, which was very nice. We could ask him everything regarding our stay. We enjoyed the jungle tour very much, with guides Ian, Panca and Dika. The food in the restaurant was really nice. We also enjoyed playing the guitar together with the boys from the guesthouse.Overall good experience, the vibes were there. Thank you so much!

During a family trip we were able to stay in this establishment.Nice and clean room.Varied meals, each more succulent than the last.Big plus for the welcome and the service thanks to a very friendly team happy to show us their village.Our trek accompanied by Nou, Doni and Rozer will leave us with unforgettable memories.Terima kasih Junia Guest House

We did a jungle tour with Nu, great guy. Just tell him how you want the tour to be (for instance to avoid large groups and not disturb the animals too much) and he will make the experience awesome. We saw many orang utans and other monkeys even in a single day. The bat cave is awesome but unadvisable if you are claustrophobic. (Take a guide to the bat cave or you won’t understand the layout of the cave).Don’t be overwhelmed by all tours that might be suggested straight away. Or feel pressured to book everything at once. We just took our time and relaxed. In the end that was fine too.The rooms at Junia are simple but spacious and clean.

Once someone said to me « everything is possible in the jungle », and that is real if you’re with the Junia Guesthouse team. Junia is the best Guesthouse that you can choose (that’s also why they’ re in all recommandation’s books). You can choose Junia for the beauty of there rooms, garden, food or awesome trecks but also and more for the teams. They are such beautifull, carefull people. Andi, Dika , Nu, Anthon are the best and I Hope that by choosing this guesthouse you’ll have the chance to meet them. 2024/08I really like this hotel, the gardens are very elegant, from the hammocks on the balcony to the unique bathrooms.The staff will sing and play guitar in the restaurant in the evening, which makes the atmosphere very nice. The boss will also help employees celebrate their birthdays. You can imagine that the boss and employees here get along very well, which will certainly make the service better in all aspects.Disadvantages: There is no internet in the room, and there are monkeys eating fruits left on my balcony every day, but they won't help clean up. Also, I didn’t know that there was no hot water in the room when I booked the room, so be aware that taking a shower on a rainy day will be cold.

There are simple bungalows with separate bathroom with no hot shower. The garden is beautiful. The staff is excellent, they are very kind, helpful and also funny. They organise everything. Food is excellent! They make you feel like you are at home.

Perfect ! Also jungletrekking was a brilliant experience. Thanks to the staff and guides. Andika and his father who cooked a lovely dinner in the middle of the jungle where we stayed for the night. Special thanks to Armand who lead us with his experience and wisdom through the jungle and was a real support with sincere love for nature and us. Thx Armand !

Without a doubt, it was a wonderful experience to have stayed at Junia Guesthouse.The place is located practically at the beginning of the jungle.The best of all, without a doubt, is the team they have. They make your stay there magical.And what can we say about André, our trekking guide. My girl and I went with him, and he taught us how to enter the jungle respectfully, observing without interfering, and making the experience incredible.But the accommodation staff is also charming. From the waiters with their smiles, the cooks with their words, the nightly entertainment with which the great jungle band makes you have a good night, to the driver who took us to the airport.All great.As a drawback, the mosquito net had some holes and there was only one plug in the room, it would be nice to have some more light.

The room was very large and the price-performance ratio was right. We booked the hotel because of the many good reviews.There were a few little things: stains on the towels, holes in the mosquito net, WiFi not reaching the room, no hot water. All but no problem, you shouldn't ask for too much in Bukit Lawang for this price.However, if you are planning a trekking tour without accommodation (we chose an eco-friendly guide in advance because we read that there are many black sheep among the guides in Bukit Lawang) I strongly advise you against this accommodation. As soon as the manager knew that we weren't booking the tour with his hotel, they simply ignored us and didn't help us with the journey. We also felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome on site. We were very happy when we were able to check out the next day. Very unprofessional behavior on the part of the hotel but later locals told us that this was probably an unwritten rule at some of the newer hotels in Bukit Lawang... Thank you dear Junia Guesthouse for the bad start in Sumatra.

I can only recommend this hotel! It's such a super happy group of people working there. When you're there you can't help but be happy. In the evenings they sometimes put on a little “show” where everyone dances and sings and instruments are also played. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of that sort of thing, I really enjoyed it. Simply recommended!! The rooms are also wonderful and very nice. Everything perfect.

Super friendly and kind people there. Everyone was so welcoming and the guesthouse were so beautiful and clean. The 2 day jungle track was so fun. We slept on the campsite next to the river which was super to cool down after the track. Our tour guide Andre and his friends knew exactly what they are doing and told us many interesting things about the Nationalpark. We saw 7 orangutans and a variety of monkeys and other animals. We can definitely recommend this place and would come again!!! Thank you for everything

They arrange everything perfectly. The trek they organize is physically demanding due to the steep hills, but they guide you very well and bring lots of delicious food. During the trip you sleep in a hut on a river and return on a kind of raft boat. Very fun and safe. Good food at Junia too.

Overall had a wonderful time staying at Junia’s. The staff was great and answered any questions we had. The breakfast was always great. We did the 2D1N jungle trek and had Nu as our guide. He was an excellent guide and very passionate about what he does which only added to the amazing experience. We saw plenty of orangutans along with many other monkeys. All the food provided was great. Would definitely recommend doing the trek with Nu!!

The tour here is absolutely amazing - 5 stars. Aman, our guide, was so passionate, knowledgable, yet humble. He made the 3 day 2 night trek for us very specials we saw 13 orangutans.The daytime atmosphere at the guesthouse is lovely with a relaxing courtyard and garden to relax in.The only reason for not giving 5 stars overall is the issue on Saturday night with noise - only starting at 10pm and going into the early hours of the morn. The music next door goes through your body, so no ear plugs help.

First time to Bukit Lawang and chose to book accommodation here. It turns out it's really good. The place is beautiful because there is a garden. The rooms are spacious and clean. Booked the cheapest room and it turned out to be good. Beyond expectations. The owner is also friendly. Location is easy to reach. In front there is a cafe which is quite spacious and aesthetic, especially at night, the feel of the building is like in Bali. Overall very worth it
