Believe it or not--I was REALLY sad when it was time to check-out. It was such an experience. It reminds me of my great great grandmother's house in a village in Central Java. The gardens are beautiful, the bungalows are thoughtfully designed, and the food is amazing! The only downer was the pool in B5; we were looking forward to dip in the pool but the water was way too green. There were lots of moss, tadpoles, and insects. The placard said the water was safe but I tried to dip my legs in it and I felt itchy afterwards. I understand that it's meant to represent river-like ecosystem, but when we visited I thought it was past its time to get cleaned. But overall, it's such a great experience and I'm looking forward to stay here again!

Quite aesthetic bungalow located in Bantul. At first I was a little worried when I got to the location because the road was narrow in a rural style, but it turned out that it was passable for a fairly large SUV.What is "sold" in this place is a beautiful rural atmosphere with eco design, living with nature. The trees are quite large and shady around the bungalows making the air fresh throughout the day. Even though the temperature is high, it doesn't feel hot. It is natural that this bungalow does not provide air conditioning except for a fan.The bed uses a mosquito net, a typical rustic pre-80s style, making the atmosphere quite romantic. Suitable for those who want to relax and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Time felt slow, as slow as the restaurant for breakfast which only opened at 7.30. But that's covered by a delicious rustic menu.If you want to relax, this place is suitable for you, but if you come here to do business, you are wrong because this place is very relaxing. The less pleasant thing is that the bathroom is outdoors at the top. Of course it will be uncomfortable for those who are not used to it. Oh yes... there are quite a lot of mosquitoes at night so you have to turn on the fan to get rid of them.

Stay in a beautiful Eco bungalow in Yogyakarta, Indonesia for only $2500The accommodation I found in Indonesia this time was very good, and my favorite was the Yabbiekayu Eco-Bungalows located on the outskirts of Yogyakarta. It takes about 15 minutes to take a taxi from the city, and I immediately felt like I was on vacation again. There are 5 houses in total, and we stayed in the owner’s favorite one. When I checked in that day, I met the owner of the B&B. He was an Australian who had been in Yogyakarta for 20 years. When I first saw this house on Airbnb, I made the decision without thinking. When I actually stayed there, I felt it was more than five-star. The house is very quiet, and each house is different. They are all made of wooden Yogyakarta style, made of recycled materials, and injected with the owner's new ideas. I was quite amazed when I checked in. The owner must be a very paranoid freak. 🤣He takes every detail and situation into consideration. We lived in a house with a living room, an outdoor living room, a private garden, an outdoor bath, and a room totaling 130 square meters. The lighting in the room was well designed and it looked beautiful when taking pictures. Each house is equipped with solar panels for heating, and the power is sufficient. There is no air conditioning and the night is not hot at all. Sometimes the fan is not even turned on, and the natural air flow alone makes it feel cool. The room is well designed to isolate light, and the bed and pillows are just right in softness. Each house has a moat, which can prevent ants from entering the house. There are some schools of fish in the moat, and there is also a design where you can listen to the sound of running water, as well as the chirping of insects and birds. With a large garden, you can lie lazily on the sofa bed at the door, drink a bottle of cider and soak in the large bathtub at noon, which is quite relaxing. The mini bar in the room also selects local beers that are not easily seen in Indonesia. There are almost no plastic products in the entire house. The toiletries are also in glass bottles and are organic bath products. The towels and other supplies are also of good quality. Taking into account various situations, mosquito repellents and other supplies are also fully equipped. The staff are very friendly and easy to communicate in English. I feel like they are very happy working here.It seems that they were built one by one starting from B&Bs. The kitchen that originally provided free breakfast started to serve lunch and dinner in response to guests' requests. Many of the ingredients for the meals are picked from their garden, so you can eat them fresh. Freshly picked salads and edible flowers bring a different flavor. No artificial flavoring is used, and the smoothie is the most delicious I have ever tasted. A delicious and excellent breakfast is provided, and the bread is homemade sourdough bread, which is very delicious. We had another lunch and dinner, plus five bottles of beer in the room. The average meal cost about more than NT$100, which was delicious and cheap (freshness and deliciousness are very important).I feel that such a micro-enterprise is great, and it continues from concept to practice. And with such a comfortable space, the price is reasonable, and the stay experience is five-star.After spending two nights here, I felt it was not enough. It will definitely become a motivation for me to visit Yogyakarta next time.

After living in a bustling city like Jakarta for years, escaping to Yogyakarta for a short break offers a much-needed change. You seek something different—something that reconnects you with nature, provides clean air, peace, and fosters a bond with the local people.I discovered a place that feels like home, or even heaven. This is my third time enjoying the hospitality and facilities at Yabbiekayu Bungalow in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The staff are incredibly kind and have become friends who make you feel at home even when you’re away. There are no air conditioning facilities, but you don’t miss it. My bungalow, especially, offered a deep connection with nature, particularly the backyard where I could spend hours napping, enjoying the view of the paddy fields, and greeting the farmers. What I miss the most is the breakfast! Healthy food made from ingredients produced right there. Everything is incredibly fresh!I long to return so badly! The best place to stay in Yogyakarta!!P.S. I even met real chickens at Yabbiekayu, and I miss them too! :)

We booked a stay at Yabbiekayu with high expectations, mainly due to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, our stay was somewhat disappointing. Poor sleep is the main cause of this.Yabbiekayu is a community. The staff is very friendly, helpful and committed. It means that Yabbiekayu can be considered a community. There is a lot of activity at the location, there is cooking, cultivation, construction and in the evening there is sometimes a small party. Reda G performed during our stay. The restaurant offers an extensive menu. We really enjoyed the breakfast with the homemade yogurt and muesli, the fresh fruit and the excellent coffee.
