Jungle River House was the perfect place to stay for doing jungle treks! I was able to organize a pickup from KNO airport/ a day tour for the next day before I arrived. The rooms are spacious and the AC was nice to have! It’s right on the water and a very relaxing spot

The few things that stopped me to rate 5 stars for this place :The Recepsionist staff is soooo unfriendly! The minute we arrived she’s already been so unfriendly. The way she talked was curt. The way she explained everything that she called “rules” which by the way I even didn’t accept it by the owner or written in the room.I don’t know why she’s acting that way, maybe bc we’re locals (indonesians) orr something else; but at least please respect & treat us like ur foreigner guess. Me and my family paid & follow “the rules” exactly the way she told us to.No need to talk Curt / disrespect to us or locals.I need to pay IDR 5,000 for every single bottle 500 of HOT WATER to drink. They didn’t provide HOT WATER to Drink / kettle inside the room.Food is so so for the breakfast mostly tasteless.The hot water for bath didn’t work, we complained and still didn’t work until we left.Overall maybe I would back if the lady wasn’t curt on the 1st place. But now, I’d prefer to stay somewhere else if i ever comeback to Bukit Lawang.

I loved this hotel! My stay here was relaxing. The owner, Jeanie, was so helpful with helping me organize my transportation around Bukit Lawang, and even in other parts of Sumatra. She connected me with Sunni, an amazing guide that took me up to see the orangutan’s. Book early because this place fills up fast. I got an extra day so I could relax. Bukit Luang is a nice village to chill. I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you Jungle river house for a great week.The rooms are very clean and spacious, and air-conditioned. Wi-Fi works well in the rooms and public areas.The lodge is located right on the edge of the jungle, so it's easy to go on jungle treks from there and you can take a dip in the nearby river to cool off.The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. They help organize rides, jungle treks and other activities.The lodge has a small restaurant where you can get delicious breakfast and Indonesian dishes.A big recommendation for this Indonesian-Finnish guest house!!!

Great place with exceptionally nice rooms. Big windows make you feel like you live in the jungle. AC and hot showers available.

First time staying here. Nice room. Clean. The bathroom is also nice and clean. The standard room price is 500 thousand with 1 large bed. Xtra bed @ 50 thousand. Yes, yes... the owner is friendly... thank you, love 💕
