This is a beautiful little hotel in Tangkahan, a short distance from the elephant bathing experience and a lovely river experience. Cash and bank transfer payments accepted in person. Unsure about credit cards. Staff is very friendly here and speaks English. There is no wi-fi but Telkomsel coverage is good here if you use a hotspot with your cell service.This spot is used by Expedition Jungle and perhaps other tour operators as well, and is oriented towards tourists. Bungalow rooms feature either two single or one larger bed with mosquito nets, a small vanity and an AC unit. Bathroom has a Western-style toilet but there is no incoming water line so you need to bail water into the bowl manually to flush. Shower is cold water only. Towels are provided along with small bar soaps.There is an on-site restaurant that offers a good, basic selection of both Indonesian style and Western-style food options. Western options are primarily breakfast oriented (eggs & toast). Also a good selection of juices, coffee, tea, etc.The Inn is reached via a suspension bridge over the river. This definitely seems to be one of the nicer if not the nicest accommodation in the area. Definitely recommended.Cash is the preferred payment option at almost all vendors in rural areas of Indonesia, though credit cards may be accepted at larger hotels catering to tourists. Bring additional cash if you want to buy souvenirs or if you want to purchase additional experiences during your stay. I was able to purchase an add-on to the Expedition Jungle trip I booked online by paying an additional fee directly to the hotel. This add-on included tubing down the river from the elephant experience, a visit to a waterfall and natural hot spring as well as a lunch literally in the middle of the river. Definitely well-worth the additional fee (about $17 US)!Be aware the road to get here is extremely rough and only partially paved. At least one hour of mostly unpaved and rutted roads from heavy usage by large trucks. If there are rains prior some roads may not be accessible, necessitating longer travel times.

You cannot and should not expect luxury from a jungle hotel. But the location and the view of the river from the terrace are unique, the staff is friendly and helpful.Of course, the food and breakfast options are also limited, but we will not forget that at the instigation of our guide we were served special “jungle food” consisting of manjok leaves, coconut, etc. You definitely won't get it in any other restaurant!
