Very untidy and dirty place. The bathroom looked as it hadnβt been cleaned in ages (see pictures). Price higher than most of the (much more beautiful) hotels we stayed in Indonesia. Also note that there are no services near the Homestay and that the nearest village of Cemoro Lawang is half an hour walking uphill (to find a place to eat, public transport and actual entry to the Bromo national park).

Quite complicated, this homestay, because the owner is great and the place is absolutely magnificent. We are truly immersed in the Indonesian countryside. But be careful, itβs run by locals so itβs really natural. The shower is basic, the room too, and there is a bit of dirt.However, it is extremely practical for Mount Bromo and is an economical and perfectly viable solution. You won't have the time of year in this homestay, but it does the job perfectly for a night or two.I therefore recommend it for small budgets and those who really want a change of scenery.
