The guesthouse is very nice and the bungalows are new. You have to go up a little to get there so it's really peaceful, surrounded by the forest and monkeys. The team is adorable and caring. We did the trek for 2 days one night and our only regret is not having done a longer trek! The guide Coco is super nice, the campsite is really comfortable, chef Ounar made us a very good dinner and above all we saw lots of animals: gibbons, Thomas's leaves, toucans and especially orangutans!

Truly unique treeking experience in the jungle of 3 days and 2 nights, spectacular organization, truly trained guides, kind, very helpful and very smiling. Both the evening before and the evening after the trek they made us feel like family. I recommend this type of tour to those who want to have an ethical experience respecting animals, one-of-a-kind trekking, we saw many animals including orangutans (even with cubs), a unique forest, well-structured base camps where excellent dinners were served by candlelight, on the last day we returned with the jungle taxi (rafting in the river) which made this experience even more unique. A special heartfelt thanks goes to our Guide HASEN MOWGLI and to ALL THE GUYS AT THE JUNGLE GUIDE. ..I will never forget you, like the experience you gave us and we recommend it to everyone!!!

We did a 3D/2N trekking with The Jungle Guide. The preparation of the trip was smooth, thanks to Senta; she is responsive a tries to do her best to accommodate your requests. The trekking experience was great: we had good weather, the guide (Dimas) was super helpful, and we saw lots of animals (including orangutans), which is the main goal of the trip. In general, we share most of the good feedback about the trekking with other reviews. However, we booked and paid few months back the accommodation in Bukit Lawang. While we booked a room in Ecolodge, we finally got a room in Fido Dido without prior notice. We got the price difference back, but still we didn’t like that. The main reason is that the room in Fido Dido was noisy (due to the closeness to the river) and lacked from hot water. I would suggest the company to notify about these changes earlier to customers and/or try to find a room of similar type if a problem happens with a booking.

We did a 2D1N jungle trek with our Jungle Guides Olky and Imam. You can tell that Senta and her team of guides are serious about being an ethical business, and our guides reminded us to follow the rules at all times (e.g., keeping a distance from animals, treating the environment with respect).I'd been in talks with The Jungle Guide to explore our options and plan the perfect trip for me and my friends. They were super helpful and open in providing us options, and were kind enough to answer all my questions! The Jungle Guide also arranged our accommodation and transport in and out of Bukit Lawang. We only arrived at Bukit Lawang near midnight, but they were really accommodating and even stayed out to welcome us when we arrived. The trek was a wonderful experience, we were lucky to see orang utans and many other primates on both days. We were always well fed at every meal (especially the campsite dinner!), and were treated to a whole selection of tropical fruits during breaks.Unfortunately it rained in the night and we couldn't have a campfire, but we enjoyed our time with our group mates playing cards, telling jokes, and sharing stories. Our second day of trekking ended with a jungle taxi (aka really fun and relaxing float ride down the river rapids) back to the accommodation.Throughout our trek, Olky and Imam made sure we got through the trek safely and they catered to the different speeds in the groups to ensure everyone had a fun time while sticking together. They were such a delight to be around! Olky in particular was very knowledgeable about the animals and was really enjoayable to chat with!Spending time and camping in the jungle was a really exciting experience. Don't expect luxury because it is camping after all,but you can expect to have lots of fun meeting new people, appreciating these vulnerable/critically endangered animals animals, and immersing yourself in this precious Ecosystem. So many people were involved in our trip, from planning, to cooking etc, and I'm so grateful to all of them for making sure we were well taken care of. I can only hope that I will have another opportunity to do this again! ❤️Note: photos were taken with a phone with a very VERY good zoom, we were not that close.

Our experience on the 4 day treck was amazing. Our guides Olky, ijal and our cook ewino were the best we could have asked for and when we come back we will definitely be requesting them again. Could not have asked for a better group to guide us through the jungle! These guys are the BEST.

Amazing! I have been in contact with Senta for 18 months to plan my perfect trip. 14 days in the most amazing jungle with the most amazing people. I had a team of 5, Ian (the guide), Abang Jup(the captain), Abang Surya(the cook), Abang Olok(specialist kodok) and last but the most gangster, Andak Ling(specialist of everything)! Amazing scenery, the best camp spots, amazing food and, the most important, a lot of fun! 14 days in the jungle isn’t easy, but they made it easier. The last day i was sad that it was about to end, i wanted another week longer.I will be back, promise 🤞
