Lovely small-scale hotel, very personal staff who can arrange everything for you. Renting a scooter is practical, but if you don't want that, they can arrange everything for you. View of the sea is beautiful! The location is wonderfully quiet, away from all the hustle and bustle.

We came to check the room before going to the hotel we are staying in another hotel around the night before.Most horrible experience ever. The room smell mouldy and have mould. They had a massive gecko on inside the room. The kitchen seems unsafe to eat and the people were not nice. We talk to other local they told us they are famous to scam touriste. They advertise nice photo when it was new but the hotel is very different now. Also they are not honest people and will try to take your money. We had been staying in the island for 2 weeks and it is the worst customer service. Please be careful

Upon arrival at the hotel we saw that nothing in the description was correct.The description stated that it was close to the beach and near many restaurants…. Nothing could be further from the truth.An employee said yes, the beach is close but you can't swim there. He said that with a big smile, as if he knew it was a trick.The only beach where you can swim is 40 minutes away!No restaurants nearby, really incredible!The swimming pool looked really beautiful and so did the rooms, the only disadvantage of the rooms is that they are swarming with bugs, woodlice, worms and cockroaches.After much discussion, we were told that we could shorten our stay, but after a lot of hassle, the manager claimed to our agency that he had never said this.After this she also started to become very rude and stopped responding to our texts.Well after 6 days we were finally allowed to leave, paid 250,000 rph for the taxi from the accommodation and we were dropped off in a parking lot far from our destination, because the traffic was apparently too busy?Via this parking lot we had to walk through the backyards and chicken coops of the locals and then literally drag our suitcases and bags through the sand on the beach!According to the employee it was not far, it ended up taking us more than 15 to 20 minutes….Overall not the best experience, not recommended.

Kayla's Hill Resort was absolutely gorgeous! The location is absolutely fantastic, overlooking the jungle and the sea. Despite this peace and quiet, you can easily reach the best restaurants, bars and activities by scooter. The complex itself is very well maintained, with a wonderful pool that invites you to relax. Both the pool area and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious and were cleaned daily, with fresh towels, flowers and fresh water. The showers always offered enough cold and warm water. Of course there are a few insects due to the jungle location, but the staff took care of it immediately if it bothered anyone.We would especially like to thank Mate, who always made time for us and helped us with everything, be it with questions about prices, tours, culture or just chatting about our day. His sincere and warm interest in our well-being made our stay in Nusa Penida unforgettable.We can fully recommend Kayla's Hill Resort and will definitely come back!

OK room but lots of insects in the room (lizard, centipede etc.). Dilapidated bathroom.Location not easy to access.Swimming pool with exceptional view.Very friendly receptionists.I recommend but only for a short period of time.

Quiet location, had the best bungalow option but no room service for three nights and also a lot of 1000-footed crawlies inside and outside. Trash cans inside and on the veranda were also not emptied. We rented a scooter from the accommodation that was technically in poor condition until the rear axle brakes completely failed, the horn only worked sporadically and the tank cap broke. Hot water only for 30 seconds. All small things, but I would have expected more for the high price compared to other accommodations.
