Actually, for a homestay it is still relatively clean. It's just that the room is a little damp, the walls have traces of water on the walls. Maybe it's because of the cold air in Bromo. But the rooms are quite clean. I just don't know if the bed sheets and blankets are changed every time a new guest checks in because I was itchy while sleeping there. 😭The location is quite high so it is quite cold. The bathroom has hot water. Unfortunately the shower was broken. A bit far from where the food sellers are. so it takes a little effort to reach the nearest place to eat. There is a nearby Kusuma which is suitable for dine in. Drinking water dispensers are provided. So you can refill drinking water for free. Coffee and tea provided. But there's no glass. No towels are provided in the room. But there is 1 bolster per bed. Stay in a 2 bed room type measuring 120 cm. Enough for four. Towards sunrise point closer. You can go up to the rooftop from the homestay but it's a little scary because the stairs don't have a handle. For the size of the homestay, it is quite pricey compared to the surrounding homestays.

Worse... the hot water is rarely turned on... the villa keeper is not friendly at all. Sandals must be removed when entering the villa... add an extra bed, just provide a mat... basically don't recommend it

ZERO SERVICE IF YOU CAN MINUS...Complained why the service was so bad, but was answered that this is a home stay, not a hotel, BUT HERE WE ARE GUESTS AND WE PAY.Directed to enter the room only via telephoneThere's no one looking after me, I'm confused about what to do.Enter the room without knocking on the door first.Try to improve the service.

We asked for transportation from Tumpak Sewu waterfalls to the hotel, the driver picked us up at 16h and he drove through the craton of Bromo volcano...we got stuck in the sand around 21h.A jeep stopped to rescue us: they wanted 100k rupias to help us with the car. We've been obliged to pay to reach the hotel and we finally arrived at 22h30.We were so hungry, but everything was closed and the hotel staff didn't offer us any food, so we went to sleep since we booked the Bromo jeep tour from the hotel that starts at 2h30am.We woke up and the driver never arrived! So around 3h30 we walked up to the view point to see the sunrise.I would NOT recommend this accomodation to anyone!

Actually, I didn't intend to stay here, but due to problems from the Villa Universe admin, I finally moved it to Astungkara, which is close by. Checking in took a while because it seemed like there was a lack of briefing from the villa admin. Had to wait for the occupants of the other rooms to come out first even though it was time for me to check in.The room was not commensurate and not the same as the one I ordered at Universe Villa. But yes, it might be recommended for those who want a family because there are lots of rooms in this house.

The location is excellent, on the edge of the crater, among cabbage and onion fields. Everything is new and clean. There is a cooler and tea. But they didn’t understand how to turn on the hot water in the shower. From the roof you can see the stairs to Bromo and the entire village.

We don't understand the low rates from some people about this place, since we had a pleasant time during our 1 night stay. The homestay is relatively new (3 years old building), the room is cleaned, with 2 queen size bed enough for 4 adults, bathroom inside the room and clean as well. most important shower with water heater..and it keep hot throughout the time..you have to bring your own amenities though, the homestay only provides 4 towel. There is a free water, cofee and tea.The location is superb, a walking distance to the back of the building to see mount bromo or you can check it from their rooftop (just be careful with the stairs, because there is no handrail). It also close to the entrance gate and a nice local cafe. It was not at the main route to the view point for the sunrise, so you will not get disturb by the jeeps in the early morning. the premises have dedicated parking slot on the back enough for 6-7 cars. The owner, Pak Moko was kind enough to help to find us a jeep for the sunrise hunting, he is not speak much you have to approach him, but he will gladly explain if you want to ask something about bromo or other stuff..Overall, really great place to stay and worth the money..
