The guesthouse is really great!Location is great, warm water is available, drinking water can be refilled and a very short walk to Bromo and its "secret passage" where you can save the entry costs (see our review of Bromo). Very friendly staff. It should be clear to every Sherlock that it's a little cooler up there at 2300 m, but it's full, thermal shirt if necessary:)The only point of criticism: On booking, the guesthouse is also shown right next to the Cemare Indah Hotel, which is why we went wrong at first. Otherwise it's really great for visiting the Bromo :)

Very modest accommodation for the price, although it could be justified by its location, very close to the beginning of the route to Bromo (taking into account accommodation of the same type in other places in Java).I would say without a doubt that cleanliness is not one of its strong points, both in the room and in the bathroom. They should put a little more effort.However, as points in favor I would highlight the fairly clean bedding with a duvet and the large bottle of mineral water that I could use.It does not have heating, it does have hot water, which in my particular case I would say was rather warm.In short, to sleep for a few hours, acceptable.

We all know that in Bromo we are not going to find great luxury, given the precariousness of the village, we suspected that it would not be very comfortable.Unfortunately we were very disappointed even if our ambitions were not very high. The room is dirty, the floor is greasy, the smell is abominable and it is colder inside than outside.It is very dark and very humid since the room is not insulated at all. The ceiling was moldy.Very noisy also with the motorbikes and the mosque.The kitchen is also dirty, the dishes are not done, and the staff is not particularly friendlyOnly positive points: good location for departure and hot water.

The best thing is the location, it is practically in the center of town. Close to the road that leads to Bromo and the local van stop that takes you to Probolinggo. You also have several Warungs and small shops nearby, enough to spend one night before trekking to Bromo. The WiFi works more or less well. The service is not efficient. The bedding was clean,The quality-price ratio is bad as in the entire town of Cemoro Lawang. There were 4 of us and they gave us only 2 towels and they didn't have any more. The room with two double beds is very simple, and small for 2 people. Old and deteriorated facilities. Cleaning leaves much to be desired. Dirt on the furniture, under the bed and on the curtains. I don't understand how they are not capable of cleaning a room minimally well before the next guest. With more efficient management it would be a good accommodation. The insulation does not exist and it is cold inside the room although we were able to spend the night with the blankets. The hot water... if it works or you will burn yourself or it will come out freezing cold. The quality-price ratio is bad.

Excellent quality/price ratio. At the entrance to the route to go to Mount Bromo on foot, but before switching to the national park ticket, avoiding unnecessary payment.The host was available throughout to answer our questions.The room is small, simple, but perfect for the night. The linen was impeccable. The shower is basic but sufficient and with hot water.

Really very noisy between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. with the incessant passage of jeeps and motorcycles. Otherwise clean sheets and duvet cover. Clean floor. Poor bathroom. Hot water.

First some positive things: The location of the guesthouse is great, you have some great views to the mountains and it’s really in the center of the tiny town, close to the starting point and close to restaurants and many little mini markets. There was free drinking water and the staff was quite nice, I asked for new towels and they gave them to me. I slept okay in the bed, not the most comfy, but you’ll be out all day so it doesn’t matter, as you’ll be tired.I did have hot water and it was totally fine to shower, other friends didn’t have hot shower and it was not fixed after asking, even though the guesthouse claims to follow through with changing the gas bottle. Wasn’t a big problem for us because our friend could shower in our bathroom.Now the negative:The room I stayed in (bottom floor, second on the left) was dark, moldy and filthy. Not too much actual dirt, like I didn’t see hair or anything in the bed, the biggest problem was definitely the super high humidity in the room. Wet clothes didn’t dry within two days and clothes that weren’t wet before, were wet after being in the room for the whole day. That’s als why we had to ask for new towels because they didn’t dry within 24h. I read all the previous answers of the guesthouse, and I get it, that there can be difficult circumstances due to weather conditions, BUT there was no way in my room, the humidity produced by the shower to go anywhere. There needs to be a Ventilation system. I can also not understand how they say there is a 24h cleaning going on, no one cleaned our room during the day, not that we needed it but just to say. The room itself was moldy. You could see some mold at the ceiling and a lot of it at the bottom of the toilet. And it’s no surprise if you see the humidity in the room. Also the floor was wet when we arrived and didn’t dry within 2 days!!I think it would be good to actually invest in this place, build in ventilation systems and give it a big renovation (I have no idea how they claim that it was renovated 4 years ago, could be true and it’s just back to being filthy in this time, but either way, it’s time to invest again)I know the price is cheap, and you can definitely stay there for 2 nights and enjoy beautiful Bromo, it’s totally okay, but just to be sure not to have to high of expectations.
