We spent 2 nights in this wonderful hotel in two different cabins and we loved it . It is a place to disconnect from the crowds coming to the island every day for a perfect pic. The decoration, the comfortable bed and the effort put by the staff to help us with transportation & tours made our stay memorable. We loved the eco-friendly vive & availability of vegetarian & vegan options on the menu. We had no problem at all with hearing geckos sometimes or seeing a monkey crossing our path as we are both nature lovers. We really slept great here so were well rested to do our tours. Oh and the swimming with its geat view of the sea really deserves to be mentioned. Watching the sunset there was amazing. We really recommend this place to all nature lovers that appreciate beautiful sunsents, exquisite decoration and want to get away from the crouwds roaming the island.

An incredible hotel in Nusa Penida, the rooms are very well maintained, spacious and well-equipped wooden cabins. It is true that some insects may appear but it is totally normal since you are in the middle of the jungle. The very friendly staff has motorcycle rental and pick-up from the port to the hotel. Varied and very rich breakfast. The pool is incredible and has very beautiful views. The only drawback is the access to the hotel, the road is not paved but practically like in many areas of the island. Good communication with Crystal Beach.

STAY HERE STAY HERE STAY HERE! For roughly $200CAD per night, you get a once in a lifetime villa opportunity. I cannot even explain how incredible this space was. I spent two days in disbelief of our room. The staff are very helpful, as well. Very spacious and dreamy room.The bathroom window has no glass or bars so we were a little worried about monkeys coming into the room. This is a very nature-forward property, so you must be comfortable with lizards and geckos. Monkeys walk around freely, too.This is a very off-grid location, so it’s recommended to stay here if you’re comfortable driving a motorcycle and not relying on taxis, as they need to be prearranged and can get expensive.If you’re looking to come here and detach, disconnect, and fully unwind, this is the place for you. Amok Sunset also offers a shuttle service here, so food is close (and they have a restaurant onsite but we did not use it).

More remote hotel, which is ideal if you want to have a quiet time. The path to the hotel is a bit bumpy, but if you are a good scooter driver you can drive it in a relaxed manner (at a slightly slower pace). The breakfast is delicious and the staff is always courteous, always trying to make you feel comfortable.

Fantastic place. Once you arrive at Nusa Penida you are immersed in nature full of banana trees and rich vegetation. Breathtaking view from the swimming pool (cleaned every day) located in an area from which you can see the sunset and Gamat Bay. The rooms are jungle style with a mosquito-proof bed, all made of wood with a small balcony equipped with comfortable deckchairs, tables and chairs. The bathroom is brick-built and outdoors (we didn't find any animals either in the bathroom or in the room). If you don't like falling asleep to the sound of nature and waking up to the sound of roosters, this is not the place for you. Anyone who doesn't like these things won't appreciate it. Very clean and comfortable facility. Excellent staff (you can book excursions on site, rent scooters, drivers etc.) good home made breakfast. We had lunch by the pool. The slightly worn sunbeds and beach towels need to be rearranged. For the rest Dovita and her staff are very kind and always smiling. The only flaw: the road to reach the hotel is unfortunately bumpy and needs to be fixed!

Judging by the reviews, I'm very glad I never actually had to sleep in this run-down accommodation. I can only rate the service and the staff. Which unfortunately is anything but friendly and courteous. This is also reflected in the response to my review. Normally an accommodation would make an effort to satisfy the guest. Attention it is a scam, after booking you get the following message from the hotel:Please note that the hotel is located in the heart of the nature. The rooms are opened to the outside and even if they are cleaned every day with care, expect to come across insects and other geckos. You might come across our neighbors the monkeys and like everywhere in the countryside the roosters like to sing in the early morning. If this is something that bothers or scares you, we advise you to book another hotel in town.Our concept is eco-friendly so we don't have A/C in the rooms except in the Three-Bedroom Villa. There is a fan in each room and a lot of vents so it's not very hot, especially at night.This of course made me cancel because the hotel is not described like this at all. The communication with the hotel is miserable and promised refunds are not paid out!

I have booked a room in the hotel but unfortunately when we arrived there we were really disappointed because the road to the hotel is unaccessible and dark. Its impossible to get there by scooter or when the sun is gone. It is in the middle of the jungle. I have not an opinion about the rooms or the service as we didn't stay there, but if you want an easy access to your hotel, don't choose that one. Plus we never received a refund even though we went inside and talk with the owner.

The staff is tremendously attentive and nice, the suite we had is beautiful at first glance but all the sheets and bedding are dirty, with the smell of other people's sweat, that is a big reason that deducts points from the hotel and that it does not have air conditioning.

One of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever enjoyed. Even though the location is quite remote and the road infrastructure is inadequate, it is paid off by the hotel's location with access to beautiful sunsets. We took a villa with 3 bedrooms. Spacious, quite clean but the service is not very prompt. Initiative is somewhat lacking. Toilleterie facilities (toothbrush, cottonbut...) are not available for boutique villas and the price is quite expensive for us. Good food, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel.

The facility is irresponsible. It does not provide all information about its amenities. When you make a reservation, you receive information: that there is no air conditioning, that if you are afraid of monkeys, geckos, insects, live in the city. When you cancel, he doesn't want to refund your funds. This is SACM.Edit: this is the owner.You are cheating people. Write in the description of the property that you have an open space, that animals can run around - monkeys and insects can fly - and that's all you send in the e-mail after booking. Your idea of how he feels is a fantasy. And the fact that you are cheating people is a fact.

Superb 3-night stay in this human-sized hotel: only 4 small houses and a larger villa.The staff is very welcoming and accommodating, taking great care. We were received like gods.The place is unique, surrounded by nature. So yes you hear the geckos but that’s part of the charm. Take earplugs if necessary!The swimming pool overlooks the sunset, it is magnificent and soothingly calm.The food is very good.I recommend 100%!Thanks again for the welcome.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, and out of 15 days of travel it was the only one where we were a little disappointed....The staff does not speak English well, the breakfast there was very little choice, the juices have no taste.... On the other hand the hotel is very beautiful, the setting is magnificent, the swimming pool is superb. But we slept very badly because no air conditioning just a fan and a lot of exterior opening in the villa so the tokay geckos and margouillas came in and made their noise inside the room... but the worst is not the.... first evening impossible to sleep, because of the neighbors below our house, we hear everything, even the shower! And the 2nd a disaster the stray dogs in the hotel who howled loudly all night next to our door and no one intervened....

Small, well isolated hotel, very quiet in the middle of a green park with sea view: a real little paradise... discreet staff but always there for you... pleasant swimming pool with magnificent sunsets.
