Staying in the bamboo hut in the rice paddy was a great experience despite being very basic accommodation. The character of the hut and its place in the landscape felt special. Bring earplugs for the road noise. I’d recommend this as a short stay only, since the showering situation is very basic.FYI, the owner offers community engagement programming such as packages that include learning to weave, harvesting rice, and meeting the local school children.

We loved this place. Its a gem. A traditional bamboo hut surrounded by rice fields and a pretty garden. It's very basic, two mattresses on the floor with mosquito nets and no fan. The family fed us a simple supper and breakfast of rice, vegetables and omelette and a delicious pink tea made from the bark of a tree in his garden. It felt very authentic. The only downside was the main road close by so there was occasional traffic noise.

A fantastic place to stop before Labuan Bajo! Food is excellent and family is very friendly. Yes, it is basic Infrastructures, but this makes the place even more authentic. 5/5 stars recommendation!!!!

Amazing authentic place. We planed to stay only one night as we were in transit between Pajawa and Labuan Bajo. We finally stayed 3 nights. The accomodation is natural and lovely. As the restaurant next door was closed, the owner provided food that was simple yet delicious and local. The owner is humble, wise and phlegmatic.Authentic activities are proposed: local farmers village tour, sopi harvesting, caci dances, spider rice fields and trekking, ... You can also take part in local ceremony, if any. This place is integrated in an eco-tourism program, which supports locals communities and culture conservation. You can be sure that the money spent there will be used for a noble cause. This place is perfect for those who want to discover and immerse in local culture with authentic local people, away from mass tourism, at a very fair price. If you only stay for one transit night, i would definitely recommend staying longer.Thank you Jeremie for managing this place and program, wish you nothing but the best.

Lovely little homestay. We stopped here on our way from Labuan bajo to Ruteng, since we didn’t want to make the whole trip in one day. The owners are nice and offered either a room in the house or a bamboo hut to stay the night. Obviously everything is very low-key, but it was really nice to stay here, we slept well and you can even go on a little trekking tour up a nearby hill with a great view or go see the local village with a guide. On the other side of the road there’s a little restaurant which is really nice as well.
