I spent a magical week at Santra Putra Guesthouse for my Cacao training and pilgrimage, and the experience was nothing short of transformative. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had become part of their family. The staff went above and beyond to ensure comfort and warmth.Every morning, I was greeted with a great breakfast that perfectly started my day. The garden is a serene haven, filled with beautiful art and an air of tranquility that soothes the soul. The guesthouse is impeccably clean, and the peaceful environment made my stay deeply relaxing. Everyone I met was friendly and genuine, adding to the feeling of community and belonging.Having my wedding ceremony here was a dream come true. The setting, the people, and the spirit of the place made it an unforgettable part of my journey. A huge thank you to everyone at Santra Putra Guesthouse. Found peace among the tree tops, canopy beds, staring at the full moon from the shower, fresh home cooked food, and hosts that make you feel like family. Terima kasih to Komang and his wonderful family. I will always cherish my time staying here 🙏

Unclean Room and Host’s Dishonest ResponseI recently stayed at this property and had a very disappointing experience. The room was not properly cleaned, with cobwebs in the corners, stains on the bed sheets, and insects on the bed. Additionally, the ventilation holes in my room were not properly screened, which allowed insects and potentially animals to enter the room at night.The host himself was not present at the property when I arrived; the issues were handled by his family members. Despite raising my concerns, the problems were not adequately addressed. They only installed a screen on one side of the ventilation holes, leaving the other side open, which allowed insects and potentially animals to enter the room at night.In response to my review on Airbnb, the host falsely claimed that my concerns were solely about insects due to the tropical environment. This is not true. My concerns were about the cleanliness and lack of proper maintenance. The host’s family members only partially addressed the ventilation hole issue and stated they could not clean the room until the next day. As a result, I decided to leave the property the same day.Furthermore, the host claimed that the ventilation holes were left open for airflow, but I observed that other rooms had screens installed to prevent insects and animals from entering. This inconsistency was not mentioned in their response. The host also falsely stated that they did their best to assist me, which was not the case since they also told me they could only clean my room tomorrow even though it’s unclean when I arrived.

Incredible stay at Santra Putra. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous room, and every member of the family who run this guesthouse were warm, welcoming and helpful. Stayed 10 days for a healing retreat hosted in one of the gallery spaces and even stayed another night here on return from the Gili islands after the retreat. I would 100% stay here again. Highest recommendation

We stayed here 3 months last year and loved it. The location is amazing, beautiful garden, inspiring art and away from most of the scooter noice in the city. We wanted a quiet place and Santra Putra is exactly that. We mostly cooked ourselves - and if I needed something I could alway borrow it. It is close to beautiful yoga studio's, restaurants and the Bintang Supermarket. Also close to rice field walks. Everyone who worked there is so accommodating and made us feel at home - thank you! I miss the views, the squirrels ;) and the calm vibes. We might be back... :D

Beautiful area surrounded by nature. The Family suite was spacious with kitchenette, fridge and big outdoor, undercover living area. On top floor.|There are occasional sounds of dogs and people that doesn't outweigh the benefits. No aircon but fan was sufficient. |The bonus was delicious breakfast each morning.|Friendly staff!

Santra Putra was my home away from home! Such a peaceful setting but also central and within walking distance to everything. The breakfasts were not only delicious but also social and welcoming. I had a tough time leaving this place but will hopefully be back soon!

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, the service is very friendly, the location is quite close to Jalan Raya Ubud. When you arrive you will be greeted by a cute doggy.

What a lovely accommodation and even kinder owners! I had the pleasure of staying in the private villa which was a tucked away oasis with its own magical yard. The owners went above and beyond to help me- even helping me move my backs when I went to the wrong entrance. I would highly recommend staying here!

I loved my stay here. I had one of the upper rooms with this beautiful view into the garden and jungle. The balcony was spacious and I enjoyed spending time there. The bedroom had everything I needed, and the outdoor bathroom was a highlight. I recommend opening the windows at night, to have the nice breeze entering. The room doesn’t have ac. They refresh the room daily.The breakfast was nice, though, for longer stays, more variety and bigger portions would be appreciated.The neighborhood is very calm and greenish, even though it’s walking distance to town center. The yoga studios intuitive flow and alchemy are easy to reach. There are nice cafes and restaurants close by.I will come back for sure!

Authentic Balinese room, open at top of walls, great semi outdoor but private bathroom. Lovely helpful family, Dad an artist. Stunning white cat, gorgeous grounds with family sculptures. Outdoor covered kitchen on balcony. All super clean. Free drinking water.

I have been coming to Bali and Ubud for many years and I used to come regularly to Penestanan in the 90's. Spending 4 nights here have revive all the good memories of Penestanan: a green and lush garden, the aesthetic touch of Bali in every details, a seclusive and quiet space with great views, the feeling to be part of a family as much as a space on your own.The bungalows are lovely and well crafted, everything is immaculately clean, a small kitchen equipped for yourself, etc. This is the perfect place to work, meditate, retreat, study or just enjoy every minute of the day as the light change in the garden.Everyone here have been so nice to us, delicious breakfast and someone always available to assist, this is what Balinese hospitality is really about.This place is the kind of guesthouse that deserve plain recognition.
