I stayed in Bali for 2 months and this ranks last in terms of price to value.The room wasn't clean. There were lots of ants and general grime in the room/bathroom. No privacy - there is a common area right outside the room door, without any sound insulation. It's as if the people are in your room with you.No natural light - the only window is the door, which looks out into the centre of the common area where people are sitting and chatting 1 metre away, which means you have to keep the curtains closed the entire time.The pillows and mattress were uncomfortable.I was quite sad I booked a 3 night stay, as I would have gladly left after 1 night. I paid £30 per night for this. There are much better places in Canggu for much cheaper - e.g. Wiras Village, for around £20 per night, and Milky Way Guesthouse, for around £17 per night, both of which are cleaner, bigger, more modern and more comfortable.EDIT FOLLOWING OWNER RESPONSE: Of the 82 ratings I've given in 8 years, only four of them are 1 star, other than your guesthouse. The others are almost all 4s and 5s.

Island Boy was the perfect spot for an authentic Canggu experience. The host, Eggman was super helpful and wanted to make sure we had the best stay possible.The location is 10/10 and considering you are in the heart of Canggu it’s really quiet. I would recommend to couples and solo travellers that want a clean apartment that is really good value. We will stay again when we return to Canggu. 🙏

Very nice stay in a good location. The hosts are also very friendly and willing to help with anything if you have any questions. The rooms are clean. During my stay I asked if I could stay longer because I was enjoying it so much.

Super comfortable guesthouse at an affordable price. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and the AC was nice and cold. The host and staff were super friendly and made my stay very enjoyable. The location of the guest house is also really close to all the top spots in Canggu. Definitely would recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking for a short or long stay in Bali.

One of the best villas I’ve stayed at, super convenient location and the host is so so so hospitable.The reliability and speed of the WiFi were a pleasant surprise, especially for those who need to stay connected. The convenience of the location couldn't have been better – close to everything we wanted to explore.The property itself was not only well-furnished but also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting Bali atmosphere. We truly felt like we had everything we needed right at our fingertips. Would highly recommend!!
