Hotel is old. Rooms are terrible and not clean. Staff was ok.

The rooms were large and very comfortable and it was in a good location. Good value for money too.

I’ll start by saying the staff are all very nice and service is good. The location of the hotel is also great- close to some good restaurants.I arrived in the evening with my baby, dropped my bags and left for dinner, got home late. Tried to give baby a shower, water was warm for one minute then turned ice cold- my baby was screaming in shock. I had to take him out the shower with soapy hair unable to rinse him off.WiFi did not work properly the entire night or morning - it was extremely slow- took 15 minutes to load one webpage.The room is COVERED in mold. You can smell the humidity as soon as you walk in- the room stinks of damp and mold. It’s everywhere- you can see where they tried to repaint the walls that were moldy as they’re a different shade. I couldn’t sleep all night from coughing.I couldn’t complain at night because I didn’t realise the magnitude of issues until I put my baby to sleep and realised how bad the WiFi was and noticed the mold on the walls and by that point it was too late to change rooms as baby was already asleep. I complained in the morning and they called the manager who was laughing at me non stop to my face. He told me ‘no one else has ever complained about this before’ yet the google reviews say otherwise. The owners behaviour was immature, unprofessional and rude. I told them out of principle I won’t pay full price for a room that had no hot water for a shower, no WiFi and mold that didn’t let me or my child sleep all night. He laughed in my face and said ‘if you can’t afford to pay, then you should go back home’. Literally shocking. I had to stay here because my airbnb cancelled last minute and it was the closest place to where I was. Honestly if you care about your health - do NOT stay here. Black mold is TOXIC. There’s no hot water, no strong useable WiFi and the owner is unprofessional and condescending. Would not recommend this place ever to anyone no matter how cheap it is.

Honestly this place has so much potential but it’s let down by the mould in the rooms. Our room had mould both in the bedroom and bathroom. I even saw staff painting in other rooms, I assume to hide this issue. The staff however are very friendly and the location is good and quiet for Canguu.

Very nice home stay at an affordable price. We stayed here for two nights on our month-long trip around Indonesia and had a great time. There are very nice restaurants with tasty and affordable breakfasts nearby and the supermarket is also just around the corner. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach and there is plenty of space to park your scooter / motorbike.
