I spent 5 days at Poki Poki and I highly recommend it!The place is sublime, the bungalows are faithful to the photos. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, and the fish is very well cooked. The activities offered are varied, at reasonable prices, well organized and allow you to meet other guests. The staff is very helpful. I thank Elora again for organizing the dives, the boat to reach the port, booking the ferry and for finding me a car to share from Gorontalo to Manado! Thanks for everything!

We spent five days at Poki Poki, which means “eggplant” in Indonesian. The resort is predominantly occupied by German travelers and holidaymakers. You quickly get into conversation. The employees are very friendly and also respond to individual requests. The bungalows are functional and right on the beach. The excursions that are offered are very good and cheap. Mila's food is also good... freshly caught fish and rice every day, vegetables, fried foods... even at 4 p.m. there is a small snack. Snorkeling directly in the resort isn't great... but the two snorkeling reefs are great (see picture). We even saw sharks. One of the best resorts on the Togians.

We had a really great time at Poki Poki, the place is magical and the bungalows are lovingly built and fit in perfectly with the beach surroundings. …

We would recommend a stay at Poki Poki to anyone who wants to be close to nature and have a quiet and beautiful atmosphere! We simply cannot understand the reviews you read here regarding the standards of the resort! If you travel to a place like this, then points like the lack of internet connection or the temporary presence of electricity are actually more reasons *for* staying here... that's exactly what creates the quiet, relaxed and close-to-nature atmosphere :)The water is indeed a bit reddish, but this is more due to an increased iron content than because the water is dirty and grubby... in other words: it's just not bad! And even if it is, that's probably the price you have to pay to be in such a paradisiacal place! The inexpensive activities and the opportunities to relax in various hammocks and loungers should provide something great for any type of day planning :) The only downer is the seaweed in the bay. However, you can still swim if you go into the water at the jetty :)The food was always very tasty… we were particularly impressed with the breakfast! Of course, as a vegetarian it can sometimes be a bit monotonous, as there is often rice with side dishes. However, different types of vegetables and tempeh and tofu are served. Accordingly, it is probably even more varied than is usual in Indonesia outside of Bali. People who eat fish should be well catered for anyway, as the fish here is always caught and prepared daily. All in all, our stay here was one of the absolute highlights of our Indonesia trip so far and we look back fondly on our time with Elora and the Poki-Poki family! :)

We spent three nights in Poki Poki and were very happy that we were able to book a bungalow there based on the depiction and rating of the resort online. In our opinion, the resort could not live up to the high expectations. The food wasn't very varied but was still always tasty. If desired, you can order fresh coconuts directly from the tree. The jetty and the loungers and hammocks available there are good, you can rent small boats for free and the location of the bungalows right on the sea is great. Because of the sea grass you can't swim well from a beach, but you can swim very well from the jetty. The bay is great, but the beach is not suitable for swimming. Numerous excursions are offered.Unfortunately our bed wasn't comfortable, everything was damp and the bedding and the fly net smelled. The terrace of the bungalow is covered, but it is permeable to rain and you can only stay there when the sun is shining. The same applies to the hammock, which was not under the roof with us.Wifi can be purchased but is very weak (when it rains) and can only be used to check messages. We were not entirely satisfied with the price-performance ratio. We had a good time at Poki Poki, but that was largely because we got along very well with the other guests. The manager contributed little to the feel-good atmosphere.

We were honestly disappointed with Poki Poki Resort. It was so hyped online that at first we thought it was a shame that we could only stay two nights. In hindsight we were happy. The rooms are okay, but totally dingy. The fly net smelled and it just wasn't clean in general. The water from the shower was brown and also smelled. We don't have too high standards, but we have been to other islands (same price range) and can say that the Poki Poki compares poorly. The food was OK. Not luxury, rather simple and a bit dingy. The welcome at the accommodation was also rather distant and not so friendly. We wouldn't go there again.

I have no words to express how incredibly perfect this place is for your stay in Togian. The rooms are clean and spacious. We stayed in the Bamboo light and we loved it. The food was very good and portions were okay. We were never hungry during our stay. The whole vive of the place was amazing, people sharing a big table, conversations, games and music. The staff was always willing to help and arrange day trips. I would stay there for a month if I could .

The website of this hotel is a bit like an Instagram account: everything is nicely presented and embellished, but the reality is quite different. Certainly, the place is beautiful, but boredom is omnipresent. The food really leaves something to be desired, with the exception of breakfast. At lunchtime, we end up with really unappetizing vegetarian dishes, and in the evening, the chicken served would barely have been enough to feed a dog in France. It almost feels like a sect, with no electrical outlets in the rooms, only available at reception in the evening. No hot water, plus the water pressure is so low that we had to ask for a bucket and pan to rinse properly.Internet access is chargeable and only available in the evening, but don't count on good speed: just enough to send a few messages. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately, they are seriously lacking in service. In short, a big disappointment, it's a shame because the place has great potential."
