Homestay format. There is a convenience store, good restaurants, acai bowl shop, Ubud Palace, and Central Market nearby. It is located in an alley that is difficult for cars to enter, so you may need to carry a bit of luggage, but it is okay. When you walk in, the owner is kind enough to show you around. There is a balcony when you open the window, so I can talk to my mom on the phone and have a snack. There are no ants here that are common in Bali. Never been bitten by a mosquito. If you request breakfast, they ask you in advance what time you would like to eat it and whether you want to choose between tea and coffee, so they prepare it piping hot for you at the right time the next day. You can leave your luggage even after check-out. I installed what's app and communicated with the owner (as well as the airport pickup taxi driver) through it, so I recommend installing it in advance. Thank you for your kind 2 nights and 3 days~😉🙏

Gorgeous house, very well kept and clean. Bathroom large and long enough not to attach the toilet to each shower. The beautiful garden and the whole host family are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Highly recommended

A lovely hideaway within 5 minutes walk from Ubud Royal Palace.Staying here allows you to experience the daily life of Balinese people.This lodge is located on a slightly elevated hill just off the main road.Every morning I wake up to the sound of roosters crowing, and even the sound of motorbikes passing by the alley is soothing.The breakfasts that Martinas prepares are simple, but he always makes a change. And even after 6 nights, we have never had the same menu. I really love her nasi goreng. Fresh fruit is on the table every morning and that alone is enough.I highly recommend staying at this place if you are visiting Ubut for the first time and want to explore the cityscape on your own. Cafes, restaurants, markets and massages are all within walking distance. Of course there is also a money exchange office.We recommend that you contact her directly and make a reservation, so you can both be happy, rather than through a travel website.Even if you are not confident in English, just using simple words is fine.

I highly recommend this place. Excellent hospitality shown by the homestay hosts Martina and Agus. The room was clean and it was quiet, including a huge comfy bed and a big bathroom. It’s a balinese family home located right in the center of Ubud, and within walking distance to multiple landmarks.

Exceptional stay with Martina and Agus at Pondok Serayu. Set in a beautiful Balinese style home with a private temple, the atmosphere was enchanting. The hosts were super accommodating and provided all tools necessary (car, driver, details and information) reqired for exploring tourists. In addition, Martina's breakfasts were so yummie and delicious😘The location is just meters away from Ubud main street and temples, attractions, dance shows, markets, restaurants, and bars are readily available. If accompanied tours are needed, Agus is ready with his car and firsthand knowledge of the area's main attractions. Stay at Pondok Serayu if you desire a fulfilling Bali holiday!

It was a really friendly and clean accommodation. It's an accommodation in a family home, but it's quiet, bug-free, and most of all, it's an accommodation that makes you feel comfortable. If I go to Ubud again, I want to stop by again^^

I recently had the pleasure of staying here and I was blown away by the level of service and hospitality.The staff were impeccable and went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful stay. Martina, in particular, was always available to answer questions or help with anything I needed.The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was powerful and refreshing.The location of the accommodation was perfect. It was close to all the major attractions, but it was also in a quiet area where I could get a good night's sleep.The breakfast was also excellent. Martina prepared a variety of delicious options, including fresh fruit, toast with jam, and eggs.Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Pondok Serayu. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

The location is really greatYou have to walk slightly into the alley, but it's not far at all, and since it's away from the main road, there's less noise.The owner is friendly and the house is clean and pretty.

I loved staying at Pondok Serayu for 5 nights. The place is immaculately clean, super comfortable, quiet and in a great location. The hosts were fantastic and both with a hotel background which showed in the quality and presentation of the rooms. I mainly dealt with Martina who spoke English very well and could not do enough to help. She dropped my laundry to a place she uses and it was back later that day. Cheap laundry and done beautifully. I did not book any tours as had done so previously but would recommend any advice from Martina and Husband Agus. There is no pool, which did not worry me. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

It is located in the very center of the city and near tourist attractions, making it the ultimate in accessibility.It looks like you decorated your home like a guest house, but it's really a home... I really like it.Go away from most hotels..!!!!!!!!!!The owner is also very smiling and friendly!I needed to check in early because I had to go to Kintamani, and they said they would keep my luggage for me.It seems like it was well maintained, like a new house!Of course the bathroom is clean too.Totally recommended..!!!!!!! (thumbs up)

Pondok Serayu is a bit of heaven in downtown Ubud. You can't beat the price or the location which is within walking distance to shopping, dance shows, tons of restaurants, temples, trails and the monkey forest forest. The hotel/homestay is really nice, huge room and bathroom, immaculately clean, best breakfast ever with your choice of pancakes, fruit, eggs, toast, sausages, potatoes and bacon and freshly brewed coffee. Best of all is how charming, kind and helpful the hostess Martina is. Her husband is a taxi driver so you can book rides and tours through them very easily. There is nice big inner garden around the room with running water and lots of plants and you hear none of the city noise. The best deal is to contact them on their WhatsApp which is the same number as you will see online and through several booking agents. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to Ubud. It was the nicest experience of our trip to Bali, we stayed 5 nights.
