Magnificent environment, magnificent pools, very good massage experience. However, we suffered a lot when it came to food. The food is inadequate and too traditional. Meals usually don't even include bread. One day we were expected to have breakfast with just a bowl of fruit, which doesn't happen even in the most rustic hotel in Bali. Upon our request, they also cooked eggs for us, but there was not even bread. If we had come knowing this in advance and had no guests, maybe we wouldn't have had such a hard time.When we say that we are having difficulty with the food, it is not nice that they suggest restaurants instead of offering us alternatives, even though we have booked a room with dining. Moreover, since the hotel is in a very secluded place, there are not many alternatives around.They have very sweet dogs, but one of them is aggressive. It can scare you at unexpected moments.The worst part was that we were left without water for a night. There was no water left in the purifier and it went to bed without anyone checking it. Although it was not too late (10 pm), we sent a message but no one responded. We had a thirsty night.Another most important problem is air conditioning. The mezzanine is always warm. If we turn the air conditioner on high enough to cool the mezzanine, the lower floor will be freezing cold. This problem may be solved by adding an additional fan or changing the location of the air conditioner.In short, a wonderful facility, good people but bad service. It was disappointing for us.

My partner Eve and I spent 8 delightful days at the Anima Retreat this March. Set in the middle of the jungle, you can switch off, relax and connect with nature. There are activities to feed the soul from yoga to meditation to traditional massage and more, and all in a quite stunning location. The rooms and gardens are beautifully designed and the paw patrol of 6 dogs makes every day an absolute joy. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly and we enjoyed their delicious, fresh, home-cooked meals immensely. We were also able rent a scooter to explore some local recommendations including traditional rice terraces, waterfalls, temples and beaches. There are fantastic two pools onsite where we swam each day are our only regret was not spending longer there. Sebastien and Rani are both wonderful people and what they have created is truly special. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

A very special place for me. Here you become aware of the simple things in life. In this place you will experience the spiritual way of life. It is very luxurious but also locally simple at the same time. You only use your cell phone to take impressive pictures. In this place you will find peace while doing yoga or meditating. The food is great. I always enjoy coming back to this place. He gives me peace. Thank you very much for that 🙏🏻

We had a wonderful stay at the retreat center. We had very healing treatments and were able to use the beautiful grounds. The pool is an absolute highlight. The food was also fantastic! Thank you for letting us be there!

Their genuine interest and willingness to assist wherever possible create an environment conducive to personal growth and introspection. Whether you're a seasoned seeker or just starting your journey, the hosts are there to guide and support you.The culinary experience at the resort was a delight. The food not only satisfied the taste buds but also reflected a thoughtful approach to wellness. Each meal was a culinary journey, contributing to the overall sense of nourishment and balance. And it has been lovely to meet other guests during the meals.The houses were not only aesthetically pleasing but also provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration and self-discovery. With my absolute favourite: the outdoors shower.In conclusion, I would wholeheartedly recommend Anima to anyone seeking a peaceful escape in Bali. The genuine friendliness of the hosts, the serene atmosphere, the spiritual support, delightful food, and perfect accommodations make it a destination worth returning to.
