Best value for money for a hotel in Lombok, we loved it! A little away from the hustle and bustle of the city center but only 10 minutes from the beach and restaurants. This hotel is magnificent and the staff takes great care, I recommend 100%

We had a comfortable stay here! The room was large and clean. So great that there's a refrigerator inside too :) The TV functioned well, hot water was available, the AC was great. Most importantly the toilet was clean.They have beautiful swimming pool and lovely cats too š¤©I was too sick to try the food at the restaurant but overall it was such a great stay, we could have stayed there longer!

I travel a lot, but never have I ever felt so home like here. The reason for this is the stuff. Toni is such a happy and cool guy to hang with. Him and Aris will take you to the local football training if you are good at football. Sunrise will take you on a fishing trip you wonāt forget. Harum the owner has the funniest laugh on Lombok. The rest of the stuff is always friendly and helpful aswell.Rocky the cat if fluffy and the food is good.If you want to get known to the locals and their culture, this is the right place. Thank you for this pleasant stay and perfect 3 weeks.See you soon!

The hotel is beautiful, we were in a villa and super comfortable! The big bed, the very nice terrace, the small but very refreshing pool. The place is really 10!! We didn't have a good experience at the restaurant, maybe we had a bad day but they recommended dinner when we arrived and they didn't have anything and what they cooked for us was pretty fair... but the breakfasts on the other hand were very good! Maybe it was a bad day! The motorcycle rental was well priced, they gave us a small discount and gave us two helmets when we asked for them. The biggest problem was the location... there is nothing nearby and it is quite far from the center, and from restaurants, so you also had to go to dinner by motorcycle. Even so, to disconnect and at a good price, it is an idyllic place! Also, on the last day we had problems with transportation and the owner without hesitation offered us to go with him at a good price, he saved us!

Staying at The Local Are Guling was such a treat. The perfect location was exactly what we wanted, a quiet spot a little way out from the busier part and just a 10-minute scooter ride to get to the tourist area of Kuta, Lombok.The village of Are Guling is lovely with friendly locals, warungs, a convenient store for supplies and the walk to the beautiful and quiet beach was enjoyable and a perfect cultural experience each time.The staff at The Local were so friendly and hospitable, always available and eager to assist in any way to make our stay more enjoyable. We felt so welcome and immediately felt comfortable and relaxed.The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the surroundings which was enjoyable each morning and evening.The menu had a good selection of local dishes, with the food and juices always fresh and delicious. Thank you.The staff were very accommodating and helpful with our very late arrival and then with our very early departure. We are so grateful for the kindness of the owner who personally drove us to Lembar in time to catch the ferry.It was our first visit to Indonesia and staying here was the perfect way to begin our holiday. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting The Local Are Guling again.

The accommodation is good, the bathroom is worse and they do not offer shampoo or gel. The most important thing if you stay here is that you be very careful if you hire a private driver through the hotel because the scam is guaranteed. They tell you that they are the āofficial pricesā but nothing of that. At the outset, he asked us for 150k for a 10-minute ride to the city!!!!! Careful with this.

We canāt say enough about our stay at The Local. We ended up extending our stay a week because it was so comfortable. Rooms are very large, clean, have balcony area, and everything is practically new. On our second day they installed mirrors in the bathrooms, this shows me how much the team reads reviews and is making small changes to improve an already beautiful place. Pool is clean and refreshing. The location is about 10 minutes by motorbike from Kuta. We lived staying outside of the tourist area while easily getting there. The beach at the end of the road is beautiful as well. Perfect base to explore South Lol Lombok from.The best part of our stay was the staff. They always made sure we were comfortable and would spend time chatting with us and swapping stories. Kind and friendly, they are what makes The Local exceptional. We will treasure our time there and the new friends we made.Highly recommend and canāt wait to go back!

This is an amazing place. 10-15 min from main street kuta, you will find the peace and chill that Lomboks offer.It's pretty new, so all is in great condition. AC was great.Close to many beaches and you can go for dinner to Kuta.But also this is a great place for eating. The chefs are doing a amazing job. Overall, the staff ( all locals from the closeby villages ) are great. They really connected with us, sharing info about Lombok and providing tips.Also we rented a scooter here, which was a brandnew one.I can only recommand this place, which became my home from home during our travels. If we will go back to Lombok, we will book here once again.

This was my favourite place of our Indonesia Trip!The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and attentive. We felt very welcome and enjoyed spending time there. It is a very family-like atmosphere as it is a very small hotel with 6 rooms and we learned a lot about Indonesian culture and got a lot of great advice.The pool and rooms are very clean and new.Their restaurant is also very good and we had a nice breakfast every day.Are Guling is 15min from Kuta by scooter. You can rent one from the hotel. Except for some motorbikes sometimes it is very peaceful and quiet. The mosques nearby are not too loud. There are a lot of activities nearby like paragliding, Bat Cave, surfing or exploring the beautiful beaches.(The snuggly cat is a nice addition ;))

We stayed here for 3 weeks and really loved it! Rooms are new, spacious, very clean. Staff is exceptional. The food is deliciousā¦.best beef rendang Iāve had since I moved to Indonesia! Short bike ride to the beach / surf where you can take a boat to the break for 50K ($3USD). Coffee and coconuts on the beach. In all Are Guling is a special place and The Local Are Guling has been a truly wonderful experience. Iām reticent to leave this review because it just means more surfers at the break, but this Homestay deserves the praise.

Dont know where to start. The rooms were really clean and modern, the food was delicious, especially the breakfast. The location was really quiet, just a few minutes and you are in Kuota.But the best was the staff. Always friendly and up for a joke, helpful, when we had a special request and open-minded to introduce you into the culture of Lombok.It is not exaggerated to say, that our stay in local are guling was one of the best things we experienced in Lombok.Thanks to the whole local are guling team for the great time!

Great accommodation with very dedicated, friendly staff. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and new.The Advantages are, that it's not far from Kuta (10 minutes by scooter) and to the beautiful beaches on the south coast. Additionally, it's quiet without much traffic.
