The staff at Hakuna were so friendly and helpful (particularly the two managers Isna and Wahyu). Nothing was too much trouble.The location of the hotel was fantastic and in the best location for snorkelling and in a nice quiet spot of the island. They had a a beautiful outside area where you could have a meal and watch the sunset.The food was delicious, particularly the sushi. The cocktails were also delicious. Just be sure to ask what is included with breakfast as they have only include one tea or coffee (only americano) with breakfast.The room was lovely and traditional with a lovely outdoor bathroom. Aircon worked well and the room was cleaned everyday with clean towels.The pool area was lovely and relaxing.We were also able to rent bikes from the hotel which was a nice way to see the island.Overall a very enjoyable stay.

We trust the reviews, but it's not that big of a deal. Also one day they didn't even make our room. The bed is very comfortable but nothing more!We took it through Booking and they said that at any time they would charge our card, when we arrived they told us that we had to pay in cash, otherwise they would apply a 2% surcharge. Obviously we did not pay the surcharge because Booking did not say anything about it. I think there are hotels with a better location on the Island.

The room was clean and the bedding was clean.The staff are friendly and kind.They are eager to help.The swimming pool is clean and the sea in front of the hotel is great for watching the sunset.

The accommodation was incredible, the reception was spectacular, they were waiting for us at reception, as we came loaded and hot they gave us water and a lime cocktail that really suited us very well. They were very friendly and welcoming. The room is great, clean and very comfortable. The pool was very nice, we had a great time and the service was very friendly.

A really nice place to stay! The Hakuna Matata is located in the quieter north of Gili Air. You can really enjoy the sunset from there. The rooms are very comfortable and the outdoor bathroom is great. The restaurant is right on the beach. All employees are very friendly and obliging. We'd love to come back!
