It was renamed Aibaf Pam Homestay when I was there. The bungalow is nice and big with attached bathroom. Feliks is helpful and help me to search for Manta rays while I was there. 4 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. It was very windy when I was there and the wind carries sea water spray onto the bungalow. The house reef is not much and you will need to ask Feliks to bring you out to nearby place for snorkeling. Many sand flies in the area and insect repellent is a must. Rat is present and storage of your belongings in a secure place is necessary.

At Aibaf Pam Dive Homestay former Bau Homestay, lovingly managed by Feliks and his family, we found a simple yet very clean accommodation. The detail-oriented care, such as the cleaning of the mosquito nets, and the daily cleaning of the beach and paths demonstrate the team's commitment to a clean and welcoming environment. The culinary offerings, characterized by traditional dishes with options for vegetarians and vegans, brought us joy every day. Getti, the cook, deserves special recognition for her continuous work and her warm demeanor. The homestay offers a true refuge away from all the hustle and bustle, surrounded by impressive wildlife, including turtles, occasional visits from baby sharks, manta rays, and with luck, even dolphins. The newly opened dive center, under the knowledgeable direction of Jonas, provided us with exceptional diving and snorkeling experiences that truly thrilled us.Feliks and his team consistently went out of their way to fulfill every wish, making our stay truly unforgettable. The combination of a secluded location, commitment to service, and the natural beauty makes this place a special experience.Electricity is available starting with dinner for a few hours, and the mobile reception was surprisingly good. Many thanks and warm regards from Theresa and Chris

We have been in Bau for 4 days and we loved it. Felics family is so nice and open to turists, they are so kind and available to meet any customer need with all thay have. The new bungalows with toilet are ok, with shower and toilet! The food is very very good and fresh, the view from the room and from the reception/restaurant is superb. During the sunset some mosquitos, take the repellent, long trusers ans socks (it lasts just 40minutes). Great stay, great place!

A homestay with a view of the most beautiful beach we have ever seen in Raja Ampat! Turquoise blue water where it is possible to observe manta rays. It’s a must-visit place, lovely family and excellent food! Spacious bungalows with superior quality to other homestays we have had the opportunity to do! Highly recommended in an itinerary to Raja Ampat for minimum 2 or 3 nights 🤗

Are you looking for a uniquely beautiful place to stay? You've come to the right place at Bau Homestay. Felix and his wife Edita will give you a wonderful time. The homestay is in a heavenly location, far away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. The beach around Bau is beautiful, Edita's food is fantastic and crowned by a beautiful view in the open restaurant. Jonas & Jack will show you the best snorkeling spots, you will see a lot of manta rays and swim with them. Alone, without the many other tourist boats. The corals are stunning! Believe me! The journey is long, but definitely worth it. Remember enough mosquito spray, you will need it!If you are looking for peace and love the underwater world, this is the place for you! Bau Homestay is paradise, highly recommended!

Bau Homestay is the perfect place for people who love Raja Ampat for it’s nature and sea life and who want to experience that in peace and without too many tourists around. We stayed there for 13 nights in february/march 2023 and it was my absolute highlight of our trip. The view from the open bungalow where the food is served is simply stunning. You have a lovely view over the big bay and there were dolphins and Mantas swimming by almost daily. The owner Felix is giving 100% to keep this place clean and beautiful and his wife is an excellent cook (I am vegan and still had different things to eat everyday, the eggplants/sauce was amazing!).We did great snorkling trips daily with the stuff to different islands sourrounding Bau Island. Bau means Manta and oh did we see Mantas! We swam with them daily and I am not exaggerating when I say they sometimes came so close I thought we‘d collide. It was magical and something I‘ll treasure for the rest of my life.Bau Homestay is a perfect place to stay also a longer time (Honeymoon, longer vacation whatever) since you have the paradise sourrounding you and you can also take long walks on the beach or snorkel at the house riff.Felix was very open to my suggestions and when I told him us tourists would love a place to read a book on the big porch he simply had a new peace of furniture built to lay on within a couple of days. We used the google translater to communicate and that worked perfectly. We were also allowed to pay via online transfer as it isn‘t always easy to get the amount of cash you need in Raja. So that was perfect too.I also talked with Felix about the dogs living on the island and he promised to feed them. I gave him money to support him doing that and I hope other tourists will do too.We will definitely come back to Bau Homestay as soon as possible.
