“It’s not me who’s crying, it’s my eyes”(Marcel Pagnol).“Jou Suba” the homestay where you cry when you arrive and also when you leave! What to start with ?Isolated on an island 2 and a half days away from France, arrived on a “Kho Lanta” type island (except that the cabin is already built and we are told where the water is), no networks, electricity evening from 6 p.m. to midnight, no European amenities, we pick our fruits, our coconuts, we catch our fish and we enjoy ourselves! The first day with tears in your eyes, you discover “Wayag”! A real postcard (my dream for 20 years!) and the days pass and then at the end of these two weeks spent here, you tell yourself that you miss nothing from our crazy modern life!Everything is done to ensure that you have a great stay, we stayed 12 days on this island and we regretted not staying there more!An excursion organized every day at our request, meal prepared to take away during the day, Ferdinand, Bernard, Oscar, Raymond, Marina, Novi… and I forget, do everything possible to satisfy you 💚This island is very well located, between 2 and 3 hours of navigation from Wasai (depending on the weather) which takes you away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Wasai and above all refocuses you on the remarkable sites of Raja Ampat. The meals are excellent and new every day, although they are often based on fish and rice, but cooked in very different ways.We weren't bored for a single minute, we found real value in sharing and exchange on this island. They even organized a departure party for us, with traditional music and songs for our last evening, and all the staff were present for our departure. (second time our eyes have cried 🥲)Only one desire, to come back very quickly and see this family who welcomed us as if we were part of their own, having nothing or almost and obviously giving everything 🙏🏻They fed on our wonder and our joy in discovering the “last paradise on earth”Thank you WITH WHOLE HEART to the entire “Jou Suba” team for making us experience these magical and privileged moments 💚💚💚“Don’t change anything, you’re all great and I promise to see you soon 🙏🏻💚”Philippe and Narjes BRONDINB: we had packed a few sweets and a few gifts in our suitcases for the children of the village and also for the adults.
