We had a wonderful stay at Methos! The bungalows are quite large with a really nice sundeck and a large bed. The bungalowss were furnished very thoughtfully with samll drawers for storage, night lamps, pictures and other deco on the wall, a box to keep pests from you snacks, making this a reall wonderful athmosphere, day and night! The food was absolutely amazing and always a very good portion size (for us even a bit too big even though we are good eaters). While the house reef is ok (not outstanding, but definitely not bad - happy medium for raja ampat) the trips the homestay offers are quite nice and you will enjoy the amazing lunches at wonderful beaches! All in all super friendly people that made us feel comfortable and at home from day 1!!10/10 would recommend

I cannot recommend this homestay, as our experience was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a dull and uninviting atmosphere. …

We stayed 3 nights and 4 days in this timeless paradise...although it is a little far from the port, the trip is worth doing because you arrive in a place that is still uncontaminated. The rooms are very nice, rightly it is a homestay and therefore you follow the "rules" or habits of the inhabitants, for us it was an added value because you get out of the usual routine and return to the normal dawn/sunset cycles.Otherwise Jonas and his team are super courteous and helped us in every way.The tour I suggest is the one around the island of Kri by boat where there are 3 snorkeling stops and one for lunch. It was amazing and full of marine life.Excellent price quality.

Magic place!!Jonas and the entire crew - great people🙂👊The wonderful sounds of the jungle, the couscous that comes for "dinner" in the evening, millions of stars above your head, the reef in very good condition... It all adds up to unforgettable moments that I will return to for the rest of my life.

Raja Ampat and Methos Homestay have place in my heart! This place was amazing. Our house was so beautiful! At night there was bioluminescence in the water under the house. With all the lights off you could see more stars than you can count. The house reef was beautiful with loads of fishes. If you love nature this is the place to be. We saw sea snakes, couscous, scorpions, crabs, sharks, mantas all from a safe distance ;) only thing in our house were cute geckos(Yes with some poop but who cares you’re in the jungle!). From the Homestay we did some excursions like the tour to aborek and manta point, around gam island and the red bird of paradise tour. The food was delicious and the people were so kind. Every day we got different dishes and everything was so fresh! I can highly recommend going here! (And bring a lot of reefsafe sunscreen)

Absolute paradise! We've stayed for almost a month at Methos Homestay (for the second time in 3 years). It is the perfect homestay to spend so much time. Great food and an even better location, right in the center of Raja Ampat. The crew is very friendly and will provide you with everything you need: coffee, tea, plenty of fruit and the best meals. The bungalows are big and clean, with a great house reef and the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.We have done all the tours Methos offers and then some. We even did some tours 2 or 3 times, just because it was so amazing (to swim with so many mantas or it was such a beautiful snorkel spot). And if you go on a trip that will take a bit longer, they will bring lots of food, (hot)water, coffee, tea and fruit and you will have the best lunch on the most beautiful beaches. We've seen whales, dolphins, turtles, got surrounded by mantas, sea snakes, 6 species of sharks, a python, the red bird of paradise, hornbills, parrots, kingfishers, cuscus and so much more great wildlife all thanks to the guides at Methos Homestay. If you want to see more of my experience, check out my Youtube channel "Timzeven".I highly recommend this homestay to everyone!

We stayed in Methos 6 nights and it felt short. Methos is paradise. Rooms are very spacious, bed is extra comfortable, and you can see at night the bioluminiscent plankton from your deck. The house reef is mesmerizing, during our snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, octopus, eels, sea snake, nudibranch, and an infinite colorful garden with soft and hard coral filled with the usual suspect fish. But things get equally better inland: there is a cuscus that comes at night, black cockcatoos, papuan hornbill and even a bird of paradise. Ten minutes away from guesthouse there is a couple of calm and beautiful villages that will allow you to see how local inhabitants live. In front of the guesthouse, around ten minutes boat drive, you have manta point, where we were able to swim surrounded by mantas, and arborek. There are other excursions that you can sign in such as bat cave and jellyfish lake. Finally, Methos and Martin, who joined forces to create this little paradise on earth will do anything in their hands to assist you and ensure you have a great stay.

A truly hidden gem between the mangroves! I did several tours like the birds in paradise, Pianemo, Gam Bay and Manta Point wich were incredible. I did manage to see a few birds of paradise. They were quick to fly as soon as we saw them, but they look beautiful in fly too. At the homestay there is a cuscus animal as a bonus too. I saw multiple manta's and had an unforgettable experience! The bungalow was pretty and very clean. Love the hammock on the veranda and stairs into the water. I saw dolphins and turtles passing by in front of the bungalow! The lady Oci and Jacomina bring meals on your veranda 3 times a day on your private veranda. The food was more than enough and very tasty. The communication leading up to the trip was very fast and informative, when there I met Methos and he ensured me everything went smoothly for me and put me up on the tours. Boat pick- up and dropp-aff were both perfect thanks to the guys. It is a unique and special place and I would return in a heartbeat! I also got to know nearly all of the local children and met the learning centre teachers (child aid Papua) who do an amazing job. Thank you Methos Homestay for the best experience!

english bellowThe price is misleading, since it does not include the price of meals, when all of Raja Ampat works with meals included, since it is impossible to eat anywhere else. It tells you the price apart from the meals, but once the reservation is made, by email, when booking allows observations in the meals section. With this omission, it is possible to have a lower price than other homestays, which is misleading when you have already been to several islands and you know that the price already includes full board, since there is no other option in all of Raja Ampat. It only has 2 bathrooms for 5 cabins and all the staff. I read in a comment from the owner, who was responding to a criticism, that the pandemic had just passed and they would do more, but that was not the case.Fair meals, both in quality and quantity. It goes without saying that it is difficult to get food there. In Misool they are much more isolated and both quality, variety and quantity, they pass their hand over their facesAs for excursions, expensive and without giving options to share with other guests. The boats they have do not offer protection, like those of many other homestays, and are not suitable for long excursions safely. I can confirm this after having visited several islands and homestays. To put something positive, the place is spectacular, and quite clean and well-kept. But not according to the price offered. My reservation was through Agoda and I gave the same reviewprice is trick, since it does not include the price of meals, when all of Raja Ampat works with meals included, coz it is impossible to eat elsewhere.
