Stayed here for about a week. Location is beautiful, as a friend of mine said: "it reminds me of the Shire from the Lord of the Rings movies", which I'd say is a very apt description. Got a room in a small house with a common area and kitchen, but as there were no other guests in the house, got it to myself. Having a whole house to yourself for 400bht a night is pretty good value. Could pick any of the 4 rooms in the house, two of them weren't in great condition, the other two rooms were fine. House was very beautiful with a rustic charm to it, but in need of maintenance.Owner and her manager are nice folks.Restaurant wasn't open when i stayed, as there are far fewer people in the area due to the crop burning season so I can't speak on whether it was good or not.Location is in walking distance of the Mo Paeng waterfall, which makes for an amazing refreshment during the hot afternoons, but it's a bit far out of town. Having your own transport is highly recommended.Unfortunately as nice as the area is, it's in need of maintenance. Manager explained he's having difficulty finding people to do the work, which seems understandable as I've noticed many cafes in Pai are somewhat short-staffed for instance. He's usually about and around doing maintenance by himself, but it's too much for one person alone.Understandable as it is though, it does mean the location isn't in top shape. If you're considering to stay and you're not too picky, it's a great location.

Waited more than an hour for food, still didn’t come (only ordered 2 meals)Customer who came in 20 minutes after us got her meal before we left.The bench we were sitting on completely collapsed under the weight of 2 very small people, luckily we weren’t hurt.The only small saving grace were two small cute puppies to play with for the first 20 minutes.Get more staff and do a safety inspection of your seats!

The restaurant has some of the best food around here, is very cheap and the host incredibly friendly. Wonderful view into a small valley with a beautiful garden and busy chicken. 11/10 would recommend! 👍
