The accommodation was really clean and comfortable.The hosts are very kind and helpful; they really help us manage how to get to Ketambe and how to leave to Medan.Food in the guesthouse was delicious.We also did the jungle trek with them, which we highly recomend.

What a great time I had! I’m a solo traveler and Dieuwertje and Iwan formed such a nice group to go with into the jungle! They have a beautiful place to stay before and after a jungle track which was amazing as well. The room is basic, but it’s all you need and the bed was great. The crew is so amazing, food great and they love what they do. The help and information about the shared taxi was also great. Thanks Diewertje, Iwan, Armada and all the rest of the crew for an amazing time 😍!

Beautiful experience in a fantastic place....still very little tourism and real, super welcoming, helpful people. We spent 4 days with them trekking in the jungle to see the orangutans; Domò accompanied us, a fantastic, well-prepared, very nice guy. We camped on the river in the company of other travellers, ate amazingly (perhaps the best dinner and lunch of our entire trip to Sumatra); they helped us move to our next stop. Irwan and Dieuwertje's beautiful little girl cheered everything up. We will always remember them and recommend this corner of paradise to everyone. Terima kasih!

Excellent Experience at Pondoak Wisata Guesthouse!From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I am very grateful for the treatment I received and the help they provided during my trip. They were always willing to answer all my questions and make recommendations on what to do in the area, as well as helping me exchange euros.The atmosphere at the guesthouse is cozy and relaxed, perfect for resting after a day of exploring the jungle. The rooms were nice, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place to any traveler visiting Ketambe!

Fantastic. Warm hospitality. In-house restaurant has mix of Indonesian and Western food. Good portions for great prices. Order the soups! Super soft beds and memory foam pillows. Cold shower only, and only available in private bungalow. Strong wifi signal. Couldn’t have asked for a better bookend to our jungle trek.

My experience has been beautiful. I sprained my ankle two days before my trip, I arrived here on crutches and sad that I couldn't do the trekking. My travel companion did the trekking, which by the way, the guide Udin is a charm 🖤 And I stayed 3 days in the guest house. And without a doubt it has been the best part of my trip so far. They have taken great care of me, I have felt like one of them, they took me on a motorcycle to see beautiful places, they took me to get a massage on my ankle, I have shared very funny moments, I have laughed a lot with everyone and not everyone spoke English . I have found very good chess rivals like Mino and MasterKasparof, I have seen animals, insects. A beautiful place. In short, they have kept a piece of my heart and I will return to stay longer. Thanks for everything 🖤

Super good. She was going with a friend and she sprained her ankle and couldn't do the jungle trekking and she stayed at home and they took great care of her. I did 3 days and two nights in the jungle with the guide Odin and he is the best, he knows a lot about the Jungle and he has taken great care of me, thank you Brother. And it was a spectacular experience. Adventure, but at the same time relaxation in the Hot springs. I'll do it again. Plus all the people at the guesthouse and the charming guides.
