A very special place. The only one that is inside the park. With luck you can see orangutans in the distance during breakfast. The standard room considering where it is, but the bedding and towels were impeccable. The lady of the house is a top chef. We had a spectacular chicken dinner. The guide of the place, named Mahdan, is very good. He knows how to walk slowly, listen and search. We saw many orangutans with him. The team cook when we spent the night in the jungle was also very good. The host at the hostel was very attentive and facilitating. Very good people. A highly recommended site.

I stayed there for 2 nights and loved it. Room and bathroom was very clean and newly renovated and with a beautiful shared big terrace, after 1 hour a flying lemur came for visit. Great family, lovely family running this place, they make you feel home. Mus ( the owner) arranged my car going to and leaving Ketambe. He also arranged the best guide ever for me. Mahdan knows everything, finds everything and can explain it. Can't wait to go back. If you want to experience wildlife, it's the place to go

Excellent experience! Had an amazing time with Mus and his family. Organized a good jungle tour for us and transport from berastagi to Banda Aceh. Facilities are basic but okay. Really worth it to come to Ketambe instead of Bukit lawang. Hope to come again!

We stayed two nights in Mus's guesthouse and we loved it!The guest house is located in the jungle, great experience before going on a trek.I can only recommend spending a night or more hereAn incredible setting, in the jungle.The sound of the river and animals to help you fall asleep.Delicious meals.Mus and his wife are adorable, always caring.The room is spacious, simple but very comfortable.Little bonus for the superb karaoke evening and the show of their little Alfi!I'm starting to spend a few days here again before going on a trek or coming back to enjoy a great meal.Mus also offers other services to ensure that the organization of your stay goes smoothly.

Great experience in this accommodation which was recommended to us by our guide Rudy.The room was large and clean. The hotel is a few kilometers from the village but it is located in the jungle. The decor is so incredible, calm and silent. We had the opportunity to see monkeys from our room, and even Orangutans just a few steps from the hotel entrance!We can eat there at an affordable price and the food is really excellent.The hosts are adorable.Only point that could be improved: there is no hot water, but it's not so bad since it's hot.

Leuser Ketambe Guesthouse is inside the Gunung Leuser National Park on the Ketambe side. We saw Orangutans, Thomas's Leaf, Long-tailed Macaques, and Black Hornbills. It's beautiful to spend a few days before or after a jungle trek, and I think it's a great place for people who want to do jungle treks to see orangutans but don't dare too much. .We saw 1 male, 1 female, and 1 baby who made their nest right in front of our room!The accommodation itself is basic, but it does the job. The food is very good, and they prepare excellent ginger tea. There are 3 types of rooms with different prices.Musa can also arrange treks and transport.

Mus and his wife are very welcoming and warm hosts. When we returned from our trek, we were alone in their Guesthouse and they prepared a royal meal for us. It may not be a 5-star hotel but the place has a lot of charm, the rooms are clean and the location is just incredible, in the heart of the jungle! To top it all off, at breakfast before leaving we had the chance to see 5 orangutans in the garden. Thank you for this great stay!

i stayed on night in this wunderful guesthouse. it’s a little but iff the main street but with an amazing view over the river and surrounded by nature. the rooms are basic, but clean. in the morning i was woken up by monkeys eating durian. an apparently if you’re lucky you can even see some orangutans in the trees :)

Amazing location, inside of the park, but the buildings are in need of major renovations. Every thing is rotting and moldy. Paid 200,000 idr for a room by the beautiful river. Orangutans visited us in the morning… apparently all accommodations in Ketambe are rough… this one is government owned, but operated by Musa and his family.
