The first time I came to Takengon, I immediately chose to stay at Umah Bango Bungalow. Apart from the choice of room design and the view close to the sea, the price per room was reasonable and fit into our travel budget. Price includes breakfast for 2 people. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean. The location in the city is just inside the alleys. Just follow the Google map directions, to get to the pier you can walk, because it is very close. The owner is young, beautiful and kind.

For small bungalows (on the left) the price per day is 650k. As far as I know, this is the cheapest room for 4 people in Takengon. The others are in the 800s and above. The owner also confirmed that the place is not next to the lake. So make sure customers know that there is no direct access to the lake.The place is quite nice, clean. Only during the day the place is very, very hot. Luckily, when the sun sets, the place is cool, even quite cold. Unfortunately the blanket is quite thin and small. So it's quite shivery at dawn.The towel is also thin, doesn't absorb water (as seen in the yellow photo)There was damage to the faucet on the sink and shower faucet.The water heater also can't consistently produce warm water, sometimes it's too cold, sometimes it's too hot. The strategy is to use a bucket and then mix it with cold water.The breakfast is also delicious, although simple. You can request not to use chili for childrenThe parking lot is spacious. Even during the stay it seemed like all the rooms were full but the parking was safe.The owner or receptionist is not always there 24 hours a day, so when we arrive we have to contact the owner.The rooms are quite comfortable. The important thing is that during the day it's better to go outside. Because it was very hot (according to those who live in Takengon, the weather was a bit hotter than usual)The TV available is Smart TV. Internet is also available.Highly recommend staying here. Despite its various shortcomings, it is still worth the price. Hopefully it can be better in the future.
