Landorundun Tourism Village is one of three villages in South Sulawesi Province that is included in the 50 best tourist villages in Indonesia in 2024. To reach this tourist village, the benchmark on the map is Tongkonan Kale Landorundun. This tourist village is approximately 18km north of the city of Rantepao. The recommended route to get to this village from Rantepao is to use the route Rantepao -> Tikala -> Poros Ke'pe Pangngala' -> Poros Tondok Litak - To'rea. The road conditions are quite good and wide, except for the last 3 km of the road which is a bit damaged. This route can be reached by ordinary car, we used the Daihatsu Sigra automatic without difficulty. An alternative route is via the Tikala route –> Simpang Batutumonga –> Poros Tondok Litak – To'rea. This route is recommended by Google map because it is only 15 km from Rantepao, but the road is narrower and steeper. Directions are still very limited, you should pay attention to the map or ask local residents. This village is at an altitude of 1450 meters above sea level according to Google Maps, warm clothing is required if you stay here. Facilities and sanitation include spacious car parking, clean toilets and fresh clean water, good electricity network, good cellular signal. If you need anything, the manager can be contacted at any time.We made a reservation through Mrs. Sarjani La'lang, whose information we got from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy website (https://jadesta.kemenparekraf.go.id/desa/landorundun). When we arrived at Tongkonan Kale Landorundun, Mrs. Sarjani La'lang had prepared all the facilities we needed including a lunch package because we arrived in the afternoon. The lunch prepared tastes great with large portions. After lunch, traditional Toraja clothes were prepared for us to wear while taking part in the activities there, namely coffee picking, traditional coffee peeling, and pa'gelu dancing. After dinner, we learned to make typical Toraja accessories from beads. This activity was very fun for our family, and we were able to make our own souvenirs to remember our stay in Toraja. We had the opportunity to stay at Tongkonan Kale, one of the many home stays in Landorundun village. Tongkonan Kale has 3 large bedrooms. The main bedroom has 2 large beds. Rooms are equipped with warm blankets. The room atmosphere is clean and very well maintained.
