Simple accommodation. Super lovely hosts. The cook Margaret cooks good local cuisine and is very varied. You can get further here with Google Translate or a few words of Bahasa Indonesia.Feel free to follow us for more tips on our trip around the world,๐ŸŽฅ YouTube: #palmtreecoral.travel๐Ÿ“ธ Instagram: #palmtreecoral.travelThe coral reef is a little further out and gets better towards the village and offers a good taste of what Raja Ampat still has to offer.A good place to stay for birding safari. A very good guide lives directly on the property. Benni speaks English very well and is always in a good mood. In our opinion, 2-4 days are optimal. (In the village you will find 2 small shops with sweets, cold cola/Fanta)๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ˜…

Loved it. Best room I stayed in Raja Ampat. Great to stay here by the end of your trip, so to make sure you have a rest with a shower with soap and toilet paper always available and super clean before getting on a plane. I saw the Wilsons birds of paradise alone (female solo traveler) with a guide named Marlon at 4am, really nice guy who kept showing me different birds and animals. They easily organized a taxi to go to the port. I thought that as it was so close to Waisai the reef would be really bad. Though it is true lots is dead, I spent 2 hrs snorkelling looking at lots of different corals, fish and anemones. You can always swim regardless of the tide times. As it is relatively shallow you get patches with warm water. I tend to get cold easily lol so for me this was a huge plus. Food is plenty and delicious, the room is designed so you always get a breeze (open space on all walls), great mosquito net and fan (I actually didn't use it as it was cold at night!) and they all have a gorgeous view, with hot and natural water always available. People were super nice. Now the best to the end.. it is true that at times there are boats passing by (coral is available to see closer to the shore than the place the boats pass through) there are patches of sea grass... and unbelievably, I saw a dugong!!

The place is quiet and very comfortable. What makes me even happier is being able to see the sunset from the front of the room,

I stayed for four nights and they have been the most relaxing Iโ€™ve had in my whole trip. The views from the overwater bungalows are amazing, the coral reef is just in front so you can go snorkeling whenever you want.ย โ€ฆ
